Great place to work - valued as a person and great financial incentives
The role at Lok'nStore is varied and never boring. You will assist customers with their initial enquiries, help set up their contracts and deal with account admin. As a manager you will recruit, coach and motivate a team of customer service assistants. The company have a fantastic training programme and great track record of promoting from within, giving equal opportunities to all of their staff.I have been giving the opportunity to complete two national recognised qualifications in team leading as well as attending internal courses to improve my knowledge and skills.

Great forward thinking company
Working in the self storage industry gives you a great varied working day where no day is ever the same. Lok 'n Store are growing as a business quickly which is very exciting to be part of. For anyone who enjoys working in sales and customer service it is the perfect industry and business to be in as the monthly bonus scheme is fantastic, and as life should be, the harder you work the more you can earn! Days can be very busy which I love as the buzz around the sales office is great.

A great company to work for
A really varied job, with a good mix of tasks, from sales to maintenance. Lok n Store has a good, clear management structure & really motivate/incentivise the staff in centre to do well. When you do do well, you are very well rewarded! The most enjoyable part of the job, is talking with the customers, getting to know them & their stories & genuinely feeling like you're helping them. The hardest part of the job is the quiet times, but as of late, there aren't many of those!

Good varied role- but perhaps not for everyone
Without going into massive detail my time at lok n store was a mixed bag. A change of management early on and COVID probably did me no favours with training etc. I am no angel and have made mistakes along the way, which i did try to learn and improve upon, however, i rarely got praise and spent more time being criticised and ultimately i was unhappy.Award winning training academy you say? Well i went once to farnborough for training and then covid happened so that ended quick. Everyone in the company has to pass a procedures module which is a 2 hour exam, i went over 2 test papers with a colleague and read a process manual at home. If i hadn’t of done that then I probably wouldn’t of passed. Does that sound like award winning training to you? Also despite being there for 3 months back march (precovid) i still didn't even have a set of keys for the building and sometimes on an early shift i had to wait for another colleague ( who may of had a day off by the way) to let me in!In the end it became apparent that unless your face fits and you pick things up quick then this role probably isn’t for you. They only care about money, you are just a number. (especially as they have made more money in 2020 than the previous year despite lockdowns etc).
