Leyf has an environment where staff can voice different ideas and interests to make a safe and fun environment for children and the staff to enjoy. This makes everyday interesting and it never feels like every day is the same.
Non flexible schedule
No loving attitude from some staff to children. Poor food given to children while parents are paying a lot of money for the place in a nursery. Parents are poorly supported with children's toilet training, feeding/ food intake, sleeping and the use of dummies. Luck of cleanness around the nursery. The most enjoyable part were children themselves: smiling and giving all to the staff who cares.
A good organisation to work with, been in childcare for 14 years and so far this company is what it ‘s about. The care of the children is paramount. My manager is very supportive and meets the needs of children, parents and staff. Yes the workload is heavy and hours are long, however I believe it is all across the childcare sector.

LEYF is a growing organisation filled with a vary of different aged teachers. They have very good work ethics and lots of benefits of working within the company. LEYF just need more staff to join their giant team in order to cut down long hours so teachers are able to balance out work and home life. The most enjoyable part of this job is being able to see children grow and develop and know that you were a part to play in their development.
Free training days available
If you are in childcare just for the money and to work your shift and go home, it could be a good place for you. For the rest of you who put your heart in to your job with children, Leyf is not a place for you. They are not what they seam and how they present themselves in public. It is NOT great place to work.
It is not what they represent to public to be
An excellent company to work for. Lots of support and training and friendly staff . A typical work day with colleagues, children and parents. Good sensible planning for children with their interest in mind makes my work so much fun.Time management is crucial and the most enjoyable times are the conferences held once per year with over 800 staff, the new years party and the annual BBQ as well as visit friend the CEO and central office staff.
indoor ratio is excellent but needs extra help to do outings regularly
The London Early Years Foundation is a very busy, fun and friendly environment to work in its runs at a very fast pace.
I have learned the skills to be able to recruit the appropriate candidate. The workplace is a very fun and friendly environment with plenty of support to be able to get the job done.
I worked for Leyf for 6 months at first I really enjoyed working for the company as I've known about Leyf for many years and loved there Values and Ethos. The staff team worked well together and supported each other on their strengths and weaknesses. It was a fun work place for me but the only problem was the manager who I feel needs more training in people skills and how to address staff members, not being biased and showing favouritism when everyone was there to do the same job caring for the children.
Long hours and Manager
I enjoy delivering outstanding care and education to children and nurturing the staff team to perform to their optimum level. I enjoy coaching my team and keeping them updated with training, supervisions and coaching. I have excellent customer service skills and I work tirelessly to achieve full occupancy and customer satisfaction. I enjoy being a hands on teacher to children of all ages and apply innovative techniques to inspire and motivate children to learn in a fun and unique way.
Leyf is a fabulous place to work. The opportunities for advancment are multiple and the ethois of the company means that everyone is supported to do their best. It is easy to work hard and give your best when your efforts are appreciated and it is easy to shine in this company.
