Apprentice Electrician in Winfrith Newburgh

The best place I have ever worked
I love my job. I have been working for Magnox for 3 years and it is the best job I have ever had. The people I work with make the place a fun and exciting place to work and I haven’t once dreaded going in every morning. The hours are brilliant and my work life balance is great. My only complaint is that as an apprentice I don’t get to work overtime there or get the company bonus. Luckily the pay is extremely good for apprentices and goes up very often. The management is good, my manager specifically is lovely and supports me in everything I do. There are some very smart people who can teach you a lot and have a laugh at the same time. I love it there and would recommend it to anyone.Water Engineer in Winfrith, Dorset

Culture changed
Culture has shifted from presentism one to a flexible one after the pandemic. All depends who you line manager is though, you’ll be either really supported and developed well, or not supported at all and not developed. Project Manager in Various

Weak Leadership & Prehistoric Working Patterns
Weak leadership with prehistoric views of working patterns with limited flexibility to perform work from home. The salary and benefits cannot compete with private companies operating in the same sector. The career advancement opportunities are painfully slow. A short stint of 18-24 months may give you some worthwhile experience, however I would not recommend a long term career. Many of the longer serving members of staff openly say that the company is a retirement home. COMMERCIAL CONSULTANT in Gloucestershire
