Bad management

Passenger Service Agent (Former Employee) - Luton Airport - 25 July 2023

I got hired december 2021 and after a month of working there they sacked about 20 people and said it was because they had hired too many people and the christmas rush was over so they didn’t need us anymore, however the job description didn’t say anything about it being a seasonal job. The management didn’t let us know they were letting us go, we just wasn’t put on any shifts after christmas. When i started working here the management were very unprofessional and treated people differently, because i and a lot of others were new they would try and make us stand for over 6 hours whilst on shift but left the unprofessional colleagues to sit at check in and do nothing. They would also try and tell the new hirers that we HAD to do overtime because nobody else wanted to .

Super fun place to work

Love the culture, fast-paced and never a dull day. Not for everyone but for those it suits you will progress and learn so much. There's a pool table and wii so can never complain during breaks plus we do Magnus Olympics each month

Great agency to deal with

Its okay

I worked here for a year and during my time in the bar area was fun and no 2 days were the same but then I moved to kitchen and the km has a god complex the GM was a similar mentality of I've done this for years so I'm better than everyone and you will do it my way or get lost effectively.

I wouldn't reccomend magnus they outsource their payroll which I have to pay £15 for the privilege of having it paid into my bank plus another £70/90 a week employment cost that was never discussed told me I was on £16 an hour which I'm not because of costs over all a shambles company wouldn't reccomend 1
