Good way to make cash in hand money quickly
Cleaner (Current Employee) - West Sussex - 25 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAs in my review title, I took this job as I was broke and it was easy to do. I still have clients and I can pick new ones up easily on the portal. I've lost some clients but to be fair, they were not clients that I wanted to clean for because they either didn't really need a cleaner or their cleaning situation was above and beyond a weekly clean. Maid2Clean clean do keep in touch but it's different people each time so there is no continuity or community feeling in the company (you are self-employed). The hardest part of the job is boredom and lack of mental stimulation, cleaning toilets and changing bed linen. The best part is building a rapport with clients. I believe I've learnt that it's good to have companies like this for shift workers like me to earn extra cash and with the flexibility that allows you work when and how much you want to.
Pros
Flexible, easy and quick to earn income from.
Cons
Clients not assessed for actual needs.

A well run company
Domestic Cleaner (Current Employee) - Barnsley - 9 September 2023
It's an ideal balance between providing a service to customers and having the flexibility to decide your own workload. Everyone I have dealt with in the customer service and management have been supportive, with a proactive attitude. There are always new customers coming up and you can match your requirements to them. Having the back up of Maid2Clean means you can cancel a contract and the customer can do also without any personal feelings getting in the way. Cleaning is hard physical work and so typically contracts range from 2-3 hours per week or every other week, occasionally more, and one-off jobs. I work hard whilst I am in a customer's home. Sometimes customers are present and sometimes not, depending on the situation; having Maid2Clean as a middle person means that there is a trust generated right from the beginning.
Pros
Flexibility to work the hours I require.
Cons
Hard physical work.

Great for flexibility
Cleaner (part-time) (Current Employee) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire - 17 August 2023
They are good for finding new customers but beware that sometimes new customers can be few and far between then you can suddenly get three new customers in the space of a week.

Not recommending at all
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Aldershot, Hampshire - 13 June 2023
I have been with them for a couple of weeks but I chose to leave because my back was suffering and clients expected too much for too little. Like cleaning a three-story house, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in 2 hours?! We're only human, if you can't clean it in 2 hours how can we? And the fact is they don't want to pay more or take more hours for it because they are not willing to pay more... RIDICULOUS. Also, very poor support from the management and people who answer the phones. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Work flexibility to suit the cleaner
Self Employed Domestic Cleaner (Current Employee) - Rugby - 31 May 2023
Once you have been hired, it is your responsibility to keep looking for the clients that you want to take on. You are also in charge of paying your own Tax and N.I.C yearly.
Pros
Flexibility. Compatible clients. Friendly staff
Cons
No paid holidays, brakes. Clients leave with short notice to you. Affecting your pay

Would not recommend
Cotswolds (Former Employee) - Cotswolds - 19 May 2023
The rates for cleaning are shocking, this company needs to vet the properties, 2 hours for a huge house, scrubbing floors to hoovering ceilings, the clients expect far too much in a short amount of time, not enough money per hour, this is not a guaranteed wage, as only allowed so many calls per week, or 20 hours at maximum per week. In the meantime your back suffers. Would not recommend this company
Pros
Can't think of any
Cons
Not enough pay

Good company
Domestic Cleaner (Former Employee) - Romford, Greater London - 13 May 2023
Really enjoyed my time at maid2clean. Work was good and made up a lovely round of clients in sort space of time. The jobs come up on your work app and you apply for them, great for parents with young children as you set the hours you want.

Just another franchise
Domestic Cleaner (Former Employee) - Wolverhampton - 3 May 2023
I would not recommend working for this “company”. I applied for the job and was offered a formal interview at my home. A person arrived, filled in paperwork, took a photo for my ID and then said “right, you’re ready to start work” There was no interview questions, no vetting me to see if I actually knew anything about cleaning. You’re then chucked in at the deep end with no idea how to go about meeting clients, what questions you need to ask or generally how to go about business. But they do bombard you with calls asking if you want more work which can be very infuriating. My advice, cut out the middle man a go self employed on your own. Don’t become another one of their herd.

Official response from Maid2Clean
13 September 2023Im sorry to hear that, you should have been given a copy of our handbook.
Definitely work here if you want to be harassed
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Chichester - 9 April 2023
Says self employment but then they constantly call, text (off many different numbers) and send multiple notifications about the same job on their app.. pressuring you to accept jobs or they ask "are you not looking for a job". IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE SELF EMPLOYMENT. Meaning it's on my terms! Another issue is that if you do a job you're expected to take it on regularly, again .. that's not on your terms, if you do not they will cancel your other jobs or switch your status to full. Btw, the "interview" will take place in your home
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Call girls constantly harassing you to accept jobs, no fuel compensation between jobs, low pay, the app

13 September 2023I'm sorry to hear this. As I mentioned above once you tell us you have enough work we will stop calling to offer new work.
Horrendous management
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Scotland - 23 March 2023
Don’t be conned into thinking that you are getting a decent hourly rate when you have to plead for decent clients and regular work. Communication is horrendous when you need support. When they need you they are on to you like a shot. Avoid if you have principles!
Pros
Some decent clients
Cons
Lack of support from “head office”
