Really enjoyed my time at maid2clean. Work was good and made up a lovely round of clients in sort space of time. The jobs come up on your work app and you apply for them, great for parents with young children as you set the hours you want.

Just another franchise
Domestic Cleaner (Former Employee) - Wolverhampton - 3 May 2023
I would not recommend working for this “company”. I applied for the job and was offered a formal interview at my home. A person arrived, filled in paperwork, took a photo for my ID and then said “right, you’re ready to start work” There was no interview questions, no vetting me to see if I actually knew anything about cleaning. You’re then chucked in at the deep end with no idea how to go about meeting clients, what questions you need to ask or generally how to go about business. But they do bombard you with calls asking if you want more work which can be very infuriating. My advice, cut out the middle man a go self employed on your own. Don’t become another one of their herd.

Definitely work here if you want to be harassed
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Chichester - 9 April 2023
Says self employment but then they constantly call, text (off many different numbers) and send multiple notifications about the same job on their app.. pressuring you to accept jobs or they ask "are you not looking for a job". IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE SELF EMPLOYMENT. Meaning it's on my terms! Another issue is that if you do a job you're expected to take it on regularly, again .. that's not on your terms, if you do not they will cancel your other jobs or switch your status to full. Btw, the "interview" will take place in your home
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Call girls constantly harassing you to accept jobs, no fuel compensation between jobs, low pay, the app

Horrendous management
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Scotland - 23 March 2023
Don’t be conned into thinking that you are getting a decent hourly rate when you have to plead for decent clients and regular work. Communication is horrendous when you need support. When they need you they are on to you like a shot. Avoid if you have principles!
Pros
Some decent clients
Cons
Lack of support from “head office”

okay job but borderline harassed by the company
Cleaner Operative (Former Employee) - Coventry, West Midlands - 3 March 2023
The job in itself was fine, however i would get calls and texts multiple times a day to let me know about a new house to clean and if i can clean it. I was doing 2 houses a week, a second job and uni which was explained to the company when i started. Sometimes i got calls 5 times a day it made me feel like i was the only cleaner working for them. They have an app which shows you houses available and you can request to clean them on there so i dont get why i barraged with phone calls every 5 minutes when they could see through the app if i did want to clean a house. the calls got so frustrating i ended up quitting
Pros
flexible
Cons
company

They attend to your needs immediately you call them and you also have the advantages of working with 2/3 clients a day then the clients become your regular clients unless there's a complain. The benefits is that you get your pay immediately. I love working with Maid2clean.

Flexible work
Cleaner (part-time) (Current Employee) - Dartford, Kent - 19 January 2023
I have been working for this company for 3 months and I cannot fault them. All my jobs are local and therefore I am not spending much time or money for travelling. When one job did not work out due to the distance, I contacted the agency to say I could no longer clean for that particular client. They did not complain or make me feel bad about rejecting a client. The staff are understanding and know that not all jobs work out. The app is user friendly and you can see what jobs are available in your area and can accept or reject them. You provide your availability and your jobs fit around your personal commitments. I am a stay at home mum and this job is ideal for someone like me. It gives me an opportunity to earn income whilst my children are at school. Plus I enjoy cleaning! So far my clients are lovely and we have a good working relationship between us.
Pros
Choose your hours of work
Cons
Hard work so you must enjoy cleaning to be happy

No protection for cleaners against horrific clients
Self Employed Cleaner (Former Employee) - Warwickshire - 10 January 2023
I had several clients through Maid2clean and the majority were awful. The clients have usually gone through so many bad cleaners with Maid2clean that by the time you get there the houses are filthy and utterly neglected. Every client I received had dreadful reviews of their previous cleaners supplied by Maid2Clean and because I did a good job I often got stuck with bad clients who would overpay me to stay. The office will bombard you daily with multiple calls and texts, often different office staff proposing the same things over and over again. It's very unorganised and the staff are often rude to you if you cannot take on jobs immediately, even though we are SELF employed and have a choice. The management do not protect cleaners when issues arise! Unfortunately one of my clients had mental health issues and has been causing me problems for many months after quitting, the management do not care in the slightest. The are rude, demeaning and definitely not worth the proxy pay they offer. My advice: Find private clients and charge a proper fee off £15-£20 an hour minimum. People pay for good service, being attached to that company you already have a bad reputation before you arrive, once they see your good the clients will do anything to hold onto you. No matter how immoral their actions, the management will NOT protect you.
Pros
Flexible-Can fit it around school hours
Cons
Bad cleaners, awful clients and no protection from management

Avoid like the plague
Cleaner (Former Employee) - South east london - 29 November 2022
A horrible company to work for. If you don’t answer their messages that they daily bombard you with, they take away all of your clients. The customer services are no help if there are problems. A very unpleasant experience. You are just a number that can be wiped away if you do not jump when they say jump.
Pros
None
Cons
You are just a number and they are plain rude

Self Employed
Self Employed Cleaner (Current Employee) - Chesterfield - 18 August 2022
All good, easy self employed role if you're willing to put in the time. Good to fit around school. You choose your clients and agree your work hours with them, within your local area or further if you want to travel.

Domestic Cleaner (Current Employee) - Lancashire - 28 July 2022
Good if jobs come available in your area they take you of their system if you don't do any of the jobs alot of the jobs are too far to travel if you don't drive its not worth doing cost more than your wage for travel expenses I would not recommend

Never actually got any work with them!
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Chichester, West Sussex - 25 July 2022
Despite being told there was lots of work, I'm guessing they say this just to recruit people as in actual fact, I've not had one job with them. Not impressed. Definitely don't approach them if you want consistent work and enough hours. I applied for a couple of jobs, but they just fell through, which I think often happens....
