It’s an ok place to work, it’s keeps you fit walking around the yard all day. Shame the pay is just above minimum wage. Could do with some updating.

Good team

Team was willing to go above and beyond when necessary often with conflicting pressures and demands.Plenty of parking and nice offices with kitchen facilities and a canteen.

Great place to work

Great people, customers and company, 3 free hot drinks a day, and a brilliant Christmas party. Learned a lot about the car industry and how cars are sold

Pros

Easy work

Cons

Part time hours only

Great place to work, fast paced and long on auction days

Busy on auction days, great customers and management very helpful! Fun place to work but with the usual bad days, customer complaints, stressful time management etc, but would recommend

Pros

Management, progression, colleagues

Cons

No lunch hour on auction days, some late finishes and early starts

Worse place !

This place is the most negative place I have ever worked. Everyone talks about each other, no one can be trusted. It’s boring because everyone is scared to train you incase they teach you wrong and they then get shouted at. And believe me there are staff that will just shout at you in the middle of the office.Spent most of my days making tea as there is nothing else to do but you try to make yourself look busy .Don’t do ! Most people only last a few weeks and then leave The management sit in their office and I felt are also too scared to come out and put a stop to what goes on.The only people who do well here are those that like drama and conflict.I go to go work to have a purpose, and give myself some self respect but you will lose all of that here. The office is the worse place ..

Pros

The hours worked around my kids. Free parking

Cons

Everything. Boring. Degrading. No training, miserable people

Great people to work with

The atmosphere was good, my colleagues were great and management very approachable. The working hours were good but the salary wasn’t the best. Fast-paced environment

Nation wide company, ample opportunities

Worked here 4 years, many people moved on, for “better job” most come back, Just above minimal wages, all work wear supplied Very few full time hours but all positions permanent

Pros

Cons

Company make all the right noises but have no loyalty to individual staff

Best class 1 job I've had!

Good salary, great management and staff, generally a really good company to work for.Supplied straight away with lots of uniform, PPE and a work phone. Snap account for parking. An active and fast paced job helps the day go quick. Understandable why manheim have a high job retention rate.

Pros

The company as a whole.

Cons

None so far.

Not a bad company to work for

I enjoyed my time at manheim. Had my site not been closed down, I would have still been working for them. If the right job came up I would work for manheim again.

Good team

Good place to work lots of opportunity for progression. Management are always on hand and easily approachable. Unfortunately I am being made redundant after 15 years with Manheim.

Vindictive senior management, no respect, aggressive response to pressure

Beware taking at job at Manheim Colchester. Job security is very bad at this time ( Feb 2020) and when the pressure is on the senior manager has no idea how to best utilise an excellent team. Work is repetitive but rewarding when challenges are met. The people are the best part of working at Colchester, the worst is the lack of co-operation and the encouraged culture of back-stabbing and favoritism. Pay is poor against bench mark companies, majority on just above National Living Wage. Opportunities for advancement have always been poor, waiting for dead mans shoes, but with the removal of an entire layer of management in 2020 ( team leaders) , have become non-existent.
