It's an alright firm, the management often leave a bit to be desired but you'll find that with most agencies anyway. the 12 week " Parity " pay where they near enough take a third of your wages was what eventually made me leave. apart from that they can get you into some pretty decent firms. however, you don't hear of many blokes being taken on full time at all. Overall one of the better Agencies I've worked for but that about it.
They only give you a day a week to keep you on the books. I enjoyed working at Royal mail at Chelmsford, Essex. But not enough hour work to live on. Good rates of pay. Sophie, who works for Manpower, not very professional. As she doesn't answer the phone when you call her, or emails. Give you shifts, then cancel them
Good rates of pay
Not enough work
My Honest Opinion about Manpower especially the one they've advertised jobs for HGV Class 1/2 are that I wouldn't Recommend working in this type of Environment Especially around West London Area. You Rarely get any work to survive on especially when the Manpower keeps Deducting Hours and changing them to suit them. Yes you do get weekly pay but everything is on a timer so you only get paid to the hours you've done and not the full shift. They don't fairly share the shifts, some drivers glorify they're on £500 - £900 a week, where as newer drivers are lucky to earn under £200.00 per week, despite being available for the same assigned shifts. You won't be paid for Overtime as they tend to keep the money that they've received from Royal Mail and not pay the drivers so you're only going to get to what your shift is allocated. They've got certain drivers that are special preferred treated then the other drivers, so certain drivers doing the same shift and earning above £500.00 to £800.00, whilst certain drivers may not get enough to support them. Management are non supportive and communication is very poor but if you do anything to offend them, they tend to not give you any shifts online and a no response. You're very much on your own at the Royal Mail premises and there's no support at all from Manpower for Any Kind of Training but you're expected to Pick up all the Do's and Don'ts on your own.

Pay rate good after the 12 week period. Uncertainty will be your best friend while working with Man Power. Two days a week and they keep taking new drivers as they are paying them less on the start. Can't organize your life with them as o e day you work from 6 am,the other day from 4pm.Just avoid
Gained an experience during my time at Manpower Employment Agency. Driving HGV Class 2 lorries around the UK delivering goods on time. Gained experience in many different types of class 2 lorries and different types of Box or flat bead work, these included refrigerated box, curtain sides, flat beds and 4 x 4 lorries. Multi-drop deliveries to single haul drops.
Gained a lot of experience driving different lorries and loads
Could be called at all hours to driver immediately for companies if their driver was ill etc.

Aplyed for skilled role and passed assessment gets nothing from them Went in for a similar role after asking Role was different from the one I applied for and resulted in further travelling for significantly less hours work. When calling to find out about work they would just not the phone and as a result I was left hanging I get the impression this agency was snowed under but this was a deliberate ploy to keep me hanging to work the undesirable shifts Plenty of agencys out there that are glad make everyone as much money as possible, but I would not recommend this branch or agency as a whole.
Kept hanging, low hours
All the time your working and earning them money you're their best friend. They won't go out of their way to advance your career, and if they do it'll be on a limited basis that only fits their needs.
not interested in your progression
Could be very early start, or afternoon start with late finish, so if you rely on public transport you are stuck. Learned a lot about the road network and transport restrictions. Management had no idea who you were or what duty you were doing. Great team of people to work with. Explaining to management about public transport. Driving to different parts of UK.
on site canteen
I have just left this role and your constantly stuck in the middle between what the distribution centre in South Hampton and the transport centre in glasgow and the branch managers, the branch managers think you work for them but you don't. Either South Hampton tells you where to go or the transport centre in Glasgow do, Not the manager and the managers don't like it when they get told this, You'll spend 90% of your time in a cab sat next to a driver and very little driving. I have been told my contract was ending as there wasn't any work yet they are advertising for a driver
everything you wrong will go against you all the good things you do go in thanked
I would recommend Manpower,as they treat the drivers the way we all like to be treated. I have had a few shifts canceld but usaully theirs a shift elsewhere. Rates are decent, you even get an overtime rate
you dont find out till about 16.30 -1730 if your shift has been canceld
Manpower have lots of ads for hgv drivers , guaranteed 45 hour week, full time contract! However they dont mention that if you work a 55hour week they dont pay you for it!!!! I am owed over 40 hours overtime from this company ! They are miss selling the job and being paid by the companys for your overtime but are stalealing this off ppl and promoting this full time 45 hrs a week contract !!! However if you work 43 hours they will dock your pay ! I advise all hgv class 1,2 adr , hiaab drivers to tread carefully for what the agents tell u when promoting this job as its advertised and sold to ppl as a pack of lies!!!!
work overtime for free
expect you to drive over 50 miles to work and then give frew overtime
