I have worked at Head Office for nearly 3 years now and have been offered the chance to progress and go on different courses to increase my knowledge within the sector and my role. My surrounding team are so supportive and I can go to my Manager with any queries I may have.I find the team work within my department very strong and the flexibility around hours is a real help.Granted, every day throws different curve balls and some can be more stressful than others but, it is important to remember we are a care company and this is so rewarding knowing we are helping those that live with us.

Great benefits, encouraging Management team, training and development courses for all, free car parking, staff get togethers

Never work there a gain it's a really bad place always short staff

Poor Culture

Poor culture at head office with very little flexibility and ever changing goal posts with shifts, hybrid working, bonus etc. The Seior Team do not make an effort to speak to employees and it doesn't feel very nice coming to work every day

Great place with the staff to be around with always a good laugh with them can’t complain about the staff there, they all work hard and play their roll as a whole team

Crazy place

Toxic environment , dissatisfied residents, unhappy staff,

Awful! Had previously worked in forensic mental health, but wanted to return to elderly care, thank goodness I had the sense to move on Constant short staffing, regional managers had not a clue as to the toxic culture within the home. Altogether the worst role I have ever had. After I left they advertised for a new Registered Manager, was tempted to apply but realised the whole organisational culture was not person centred .

We have implemented various new training and development opportunities to all employees to help with ensuring everyone understands the values we have. Sometimes, a change in leadership is needed to help change culture within a home and this is such an important part of the business. We want everyone who works and lives with us to feel a part of a team and a family, we are sorry this wasn't the case for yourself.

Not a great place to work for

Staff are very overworked. Always short staffed. Treat staff unfairly. Management are not helpful and when something is raises there is no result. It is not a healthy work environment.

Very pleasant environment to work in

Stressful, bullying prevalent, lack of direction

The management sleeps with employees, making a very awkward work environment, management is inexperienced and the home has a clear lack of authority! Night staff sleep all night and don’t care for the residents, controlled medications just disappear. There are clear groups of people who all gang up and bully less knowledgeable staff management joins in with this. No confidentiality. Most residents are lovely and a joy to care for and the activities residents are given are brilliant,

Fair employer.

Great company to work for. As you would expect working in care homes it is extremely busy and you must be able to prioritise and have good time management skills. The only negatives where the duplication of work tasks, lack of support and at times poor attitude from head office administration teams and tasks being assigned with no value to improve resident care. Senior management were extremely approachable and they would mostly listen and take on board suggestions/criticisms.Workplace environment was welcoming and comfortable.

Admin tasks can seem invaluable however, they are there to help opertation teams understand the full picture of the home. With us having around 80 Care Homes across the UK, there is a lot to keep track off which is why your help is so important. Our Senior teams are there to support homes and help implement changes where needed. They liaise with Head Office and we can then hopefully make good changes off the back of this.

No work and personal life balance.

No consideration for personal life, time off, days off. Your meant to get two weekends off a month, but im always working at least 1 day every weekend, when other seniors have the full weekend off. There is times where i have been at work two days through the week, yet my manager still calls me in for a meeting on my day off which would of took 10 minutes, and could of been done on my lunch break. This is affecting my family time. The management treat you like dirt on their shoes, and constantly pick on staff. Staff are overworked. You get no choice in holidays the manager puts your holiday in to suit the service and not around your own personal choice or life.

If you're extrovert and love talk you will be fine, because this company work fine if you are friend with the manager cause this place work as hierarchy, they definitely have favourites and give priority to his friend's first

Very busy and also enjoy company of residents and staff

I enjoy interacting and helping the residents. I feel the manager is very open to myself wanting to work in other areas of the home.The hardest part of the job is say is tiring legs and feet as on feet all day. A new experience since starting there is working in the kitchen, setting tables and filling in menus.

productive and friendly

Going into work is always a new experience as you never know what you are going into. But for sure i know i will meet some lovely colleagues who will surely kick start your day with a laugh. As a staff member i have learnt how to manage staff, with the support of my manager and colleagues i have developed my skills and become a Unit manager. My work environment fosters a place for growth, inspiration and most importantly development of their staff. The hardest part of my job is to deal with management of staff. The most enjoyable part of my job is caring for my residents and knowing that at the end of my shift they have a lovely day water and fed.

Typhical day at work that ur off but u feel guilty not to help when it short staffed.I learned a lot and exercised the proper training . The Manager is Excelent approachable and happy to help and guidance. .Staffed go on well whatever races..Hardest part was if their is outbreak of covid the Residents confused why they isolated they become in low mood .the most enjoyable part was unity and lovelove &cared to resident ..

Supportive and enjoyable place to work

I have worked here for 2 years. From day 1 I have felt encouraged and part of this amazing team. With the fantastic support from the Home Manager and Business Administrator, I have progressed and built on my skills. Everyday is different and it is a pleasure to meet and become involved in the life of the home and residents.
