Why did you leave your job at Maritime Transport?

I liked it here but had to quint for personal reasons

Because I dared to disagree, I put my head above the parapet wall and the biggest witch hunt I have ever witnessed was delivered to me by both middle management and senior management, but I thank them for it because it was not until I took a step back that I could actually see what was going on and they had done the very best thing for me and I have never looked back.

Overtime is demanded if you refuse then expect to be messed around

Clowns on day shift in Alconbury depot office who haven't got a clue , useless night shift operator who claims to be an ex-driver but doesn't listen to drivers when they phone with 3hrs advance notice to inform him A14 is closed & they now haven't got enough drive time to do allocated 2nd run

Pushed to the limit. Hurried constantly. 15hours planned days. Rude and obnoxious children in the office. Happy I left. I’m on less money but working with good people now.

Not sticking to the rules and the office staff are a joke.

Muppets, blame culture , poor management style, expected to run up to 15 hours at the drop of a hat. Run you to your out of time then say oh we can’t collect you even though you’ve advised them of conditions and time left.

I asked for a shorter working day following my father in laws funeral, to support my wife who was understandably upset. Instead I got a 15 hour day and was told it is not at the drivers discretion whether to extend his driving time.Whilst looking for another job I found out on the grapevine the site was moving from Peterborough to Alconbury. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. The drivers were expected to absorb the extra costs and time.
