Engineer Examiner in Southampton, Hampshire

Respectful Job
Good people and environment. Help is there from the seniors, and employees get training on the and off the job. There is scope for professional development.
Customer Service Advisor in Cardiff
on 17 March 2022
A poor representation of the Civil Service.
Unlike some other places, the poor reviews you see for this company are genuine. Be prepared for there to be unrealistic expectations of you, for contractual agreements to be scrapped based on what benefits the company, and to ultimately be a number on a list of many who will come and go from that office. Choose literally anywhere else.
Senior Maritime Operations Officer in Dover, Kent
on 13 March 2022
Poor management
This job is ideal if you have blue light or maritime experience. If you don’t it can take longer than the required time to pick up. The training programme is not adequate and is a cause for concern. There also doesn’t appear to be a complete structure to it. The management is not ideal and there is a large turnover of staff within the control room. The job description contained information which was not disclosed until day one and the period of time between accepting job offer and start date was ridiculous
Verification Officer in Southampton, Hampshire

Excellent location and work life balance
The civil service structure of interviewing means you can prepare easily for the interview.Easy to slot into the team and incredibly involving work in the cities biggest industry.
Support Officer in Southampton, Hampshire
on 13 January 2022
They will say that there a lot of opportunities to progress but in reality, the job goes to the person that can pass an interview regardless of experience which just throws up issues later on.Any changes are very slow to happen, years in most cases.Negative feedback is reluctantly acted upon and only the easy to address concerns are ever actioned. HM Coastguard feels like a separate part of the Agency so can not comment on that.
