Section Manager in Scotland

Good as a customer assistant
Good place to work if all you want to do is fill shelves and chat to customers. If you wish to progress then it's not an issue either given you gain the experience first. The issues come after you've stepped into management - no regard for worker's health or mentality, being undermined at every opportunity and definitely no work life balance. They expect full 24/7 availability.
Sales Advisor/ customer service-part time in Warrington

Hard work - Not appreciated- hours constantly changing
Unless you can be available 24/7 Not have a voice or an opinion Don't even consider it Don't say you have a disability because they won't even consider you & if you tell them once your in your struggling with certain tasks they'll get rid of you = Your made to feel worthless. Don't know how they have the nerve to support The Sunflower ( hidden disability) scheme when they treat people how they do. The assistant managers have little experience or people skills unable to see strengths and weakness in people expecting everyone to be able to do everything. The assistant managers are like little Hitlers ' getting rid of the weak '.

Fast paced
Poor management. Not very good training expect you to know things straight away and throw you in at deep end. Not very Diverse. MnS is certainly not the company I thought it was

Don’t apply
I enjoyed working here at the start but after all the extra hours and always being happy to help out where I can I found mangers do not care about all your hard work and overtime you put In they don’t even notice you they are never on the shop floor to offer any support
Store Manager in West Midlands
on 20 September 2022
“Me next” culture and cliquey
Awful onboarding experience, disjointed, hierarchical business to be in despite their false best efforts to change this by revoking reward levels/banding of roles. Store managers don’t leave the office. Their only job is delegation. “That’s not your job” - used many times on myself for assisting in areas of the store where struggling. All other management have to force into conversation their length of service etc and and all very clear on letting you know their aspirations within the business and frosty towards external candidates. Witnessed this happen to others and experienced myself. Cult like business - called themselves a family. All round bad vibes.
