How are the working hours at Marks & Spencer?

  • Depends if you are temp or not. Temps get treated with less respect because most of them leave but more valuable members of staff get treated better. I get all the overtime I want. Just work hard

  • They were good, we were told the shift patten before we started

  • All over the place. When you start working for m&s it will be a part time contract 90% of the time but management will usually bombard you with overtime. They will constantly move your hours or days around to suit themselves most of the people that have been there a long time always work the early morning shift so it is most likely you will be stuck with the 12-8 shift. But you could be working from 6am until 8pm depending when they need you. They even bull you into doing a night shift when they need you which could be anything between 8pm-6am

  • Terrible unless you’re a manager

  • 12 hours shift

  • Related questions (more answers below):

  • Get given way more hours than what you're contacted to

  • 8 hours a week every Sunday but extra shifts are possible

  • Full time but no paid break early starts late finishes

  • ,any time. Monday to Saturday

  • 4 hours per day.
