If you were in charge, what would you do to make Marks & Spencer a better place to work?

  • Id like to make some suggestions so the company can evolve with the times.
    People now like to spend more on leisure. I suggest that M&S create a 3D shopping experience. When I walk in there, my senses at the moment are not heightened. I'd describe the place as "beige", "boring", not well laid out.

    I'd like M&S to evolve into a multi 3D experience which caters for all ages and sensories.

    Entertainment

    Social

    Care

    And uniqueness


    The fun and entertainment part is certainly lacking. Every 4 hours that the shop is open, hold a mini fashion show. Three staff members needed.

    Food - exotic drinks, mocktails, shakes

    Foods that are new - party tasting nights (social)

    Speed dating?

    Care - Dementia, Autism and Disabled quiet shopping experience area. Very patient and empathic members of staff help with selecting clothes and fetching them to try on or for customers to choose from. Lots of comfortable seating, large booths for trying on clothes, funky looking disabled bar aids. Light and airy for those living with Dementia.

    Theres so much you can do to ditch the beige experience!! πŸ‘πŸ™‚

  • Get rid of immature over bearing perverted managers who should never be employed their in the first place.Along with attention seeking common as muck store assistants who engage in sexually explicit conversations with said β€œmanagers” the place is a joke!

  • Cut out favoutism get management to do more of the jobs that section Co-ordinator have to do have more evening staff as it is there are too many managers just not enough good customer service members-too many chiefs not enough Indian's look at some other great retail stores for example

  • I would make mark & spancer a better place, specially in customer service, make other employees feel at home
    I would listen carefully to all queries from clients and employees

  • Treat everybody like you would like to treated. Everybody is a individual we all need different support. Managers must realise this before becoming a manager.no bullying in the workplace .

  • More shoppers friendly! Encouraging more teens and young adults to shop more, instead of thinking of Marks & Spencer as a more mature woman person store.

  • To make it a better work place, i would make sure its more diverse. whilst working there, there were alot of people who were of a much older generation which almost saw the workforce divide into groups.
