Mars Wrigley supports continuous personal development. They don't 'pigeon hole' people into one role - if you have the skills and attributes you can apply to move to other depts. (within normal interview process). A very friendly, helpful and collaborate environment (Senior Management are not separate offices), where they value their Associates (employees) contributions, ideas and opinions and in my opinion look after their associates. There is not a blame culture, more 'what happened, how do we fix it and how to prevent it happening again'. Line Managers in commercial (office) and manufacturing are friendly and supportive. (Often in other workplaces blue collar managers can be deemed as brusque/rude, this is not the case at Mars Wrigley.) They are an innovative, forward thinking company, working to be sustainable in a generation, are ethical, support diversity and inclusion and help in the local community. I hope to work there again as didn't leave by choice as I was on a contract role.
good comp & bens (including Private Health), canteen and separate coffee shop, onsite OH, staff shop, gym & classes onsite, free parking
very lean in some parts, great induction and induction learning, but is very involved over many months and needs a lot of time
Blue chip company with exceptional benefits and generous pay. I have worked there for 25 years. The down side of production is it's 12 hour shifts 4 on/4 off which can be a bit hard for associates in the latter half of life. For operators the tasks are simple and there is always someone to give you a helping hand. The hardest part of the job i would say is the repetitiveness of the tasks. The most enjoyable is the environment, the people and the wages.
Private health, sick pay excellent rates of pay
Weekends as part of shift/ 12 hour shifts
