The most useful review selected by IndeedA typical day to day at work for myself would be come in at 9am, complete tracking procedure of all shipments sent. Once tracking is completed and sent to the MD, I would have to begin calling all clients that we have in UAE who had debts remaining to us. In between the debt collecting, I would complete some PA jobs towards my boss. After Lunch would be back to debt collecting but from US. end of the day would be sending out invoices and completing unfinished work.
Through the job, I learnt many new skills such as communicating with clients overseas being first point of contact, how to reconcile freight costs and how to work in a new team.
The co-workers were nice and welcoming. they were helpful when needed.
The hardest part of the job was having to juggle the company work around the PA job as they were both important.
The most enjoyable part of the job was learning new skills and developing my experience by completing various tasks given.

Avoid like the plague

During my time here my colleagues were routinely spoken down to and come the end of your probation, you will be too. The office is a draining environment and the only thing close to office culture was that most people were secretly supporting each other in looking for a way out. In the handful of weeks I was there, a third of the full time in-office staff had left, so there's a constant stream of people in/out. For a reason.I decided to give the benefit of the doubt given the positive reviews here and wished I hadn't. No amount if desparation for a free lunch should lead you here.

I enjoyed the work environment. Company is very focused and has great Ethos. I learnt a lot from working here. There are some great perks within the company and lots of opportunities. Management is great, they support you to move up within the company.

Great experience

I worked with maxim world for 12 months and I have to say that what I learnt has been invaluable . The company provides free lunches for every one ! What an amazing perk. The management were very fair - work hard , play hard but very understandable on personal circumstances. They never micro managed me or any team member which meant that it is down to the individual to grow if they want to . I have seen the management been understanding to team members who had personal challenges - something that is so rare to see these days . I want to thank the team , the management and everyone at maxim world. THANK YOU so much

Having worked at Maxim world for several years I can honestly say this is the best company to work for . The company looks after its employees to the extent that everyone even gets free lunches. The management motivates the team and ensures that everyone achieves the best of their abilities. Thank you Maxim world !

Extremely shocked with management

As much as the office location and employees are great, the management is absolutely horrifying. They used to make staff write lines when they used to make mistakes, as though they were in school in the 1920s. It is appalling how they treat their staff and the staff turnover it’s awful as well.

Worse working place ever

Total disorganisation, you don’t have any value as much as human as your job graduation, it doesn’t matter if you have a degree for that, they will contact you on Sunday to ask you to do things for them. It’s not another complain, Just you need to know in 4 months I use to work there , 6 persons left.

0% Communication, It was impossible to complete the work with such poor communication from 'management'.
0% humility - some people live in a world only accessible to their minds - Etiquette & grounding goes a long way! some people forget that irrespective of how much materialisms they may have they are mortal like the rest of us.

It is a small, fast paced company. I learn a lot but the hours are quite long. Nice place to work with friendly people. The job roles can be very varied.
