Front of House Staff in Broadstairs

Stressful and negative environment
The managers are really rude and power trip over the staff rather than speaking to them respectfully. No support network if you was facing personal issues. If you called in sick they would accuse you of lying. The wrong people get into crew member positions and also use there title to power trip over staff.

Haha no money
Got the job. Wasn’t even getting paid because they hadn’t bothered putting me in the system or giving me a clock in number. Uniform given was incorrect size for me even though I had told them what size I was The person who I was learning from left after 20 minutes and I was not given anyone else

Good first job
This is my first job if you have to relocate you easily can I did however I didn’t have a great experience at my first restaurant my anxiety and depression got worse With lack of support. It is great to meet new friends and create relationships but this is a very over whelming place to work. you have to be fast paced and it can get really hot in the kitchen. Being around people the same age as me mostly young is great but can wear me down if they haven’t matured. I’d say it’s good when you have the right people on your shift and as someone with anxiety be wary it can be a lot but I still manage and can be fun sometimes .

High stress, sometimes fun
I worked at Mcdonalds as a full time crew member for about 9 months. The shifts really did vary depending on which managers were working that day - sometimes it would be great fun but other days it would be a living nightmare. I think the managers really were the key deciding factor in whether it would be a good or bad day at work. Some other negatives however include being sent on your break 1 hour into an 8 hour shift, the lack of trust and respect from management, high pressure and stressful environment, awkward schedules, and lack of variation during shifts.I would say working at mcdonalds is best suited to students as the scheduling system does allow you to choose (mostly) when you work, and working part-time is probably preferable over full-time if you value your mental health!

I was interviewed by lovely management at McDonald's and all staff were friendly. A lengthy interview (must of been me) but lovely overall. I find out in no more than a weeks time. All interviews are positive and each one you attend you get better at relaxing regardless of outcome.
