The UK and Ireland business comprises of more than 1,400 restaurants across both our company and Franchise estate. Not only do we employ over 175,000 people across our restaurants and in our regional offices, but we also work with hundreds of suppliers and over 17,500 British and Irish farmers.

By working together, we can make a difference in lots of ways:

Good Neighbour - Whether it's helping families through Ronald McDonald House Charities, our environmental commitments or our work with local football clubs, we're proud to support the communities we're part of.

Good Food - We always strive to serve our customers with food made from quality ingredients, responsibly sourced. So whether it's 100% chicken breast meat or whole cuts of British and Irish beef, you know it's been selected with you in mind.

Good People - We are proud of the development opportunities available to everyone who works at McDonald’s. People are our greatest asset and fundamental to our success. All our employees have the opportunity to take part in structured training, whether that is in customer service, team work or in financial management. We believe these skills will serve them well, wherever their career takes them.

Our employees come from all walks of life. However, they all share a common approach: positivity. We know that happy employees help to make happy customers, so we want you to enjoy your work

Extremely Stressful working conditions but decent pay and benefits
The job is extremely stressful especially if you’re a student or have a disability. There have been several occasions when I’ve worked where the store has had to either threaten to or actually call the police one of these times was when I had a delivery driver push a big pile of cup holders onto me. A lot of the managers clearly lack any form of SEN training, there’s a manager who treats me comple...

Treated like children
Ok, management will under appreciate your effort though. Flexibility with availability is reasonable. If you want to swap shifts you can do so easily. Tiring and monotonous.

Fun
Good place to work if you’re a student as it’s easy money and you can work the hours that are best suited to you. Very understanding when you need time off.

Mix of people
Busy, stressful but great people. Some managers were terrible and others were great. Typical day was clocking in, working on drinks or on the till and cleaning whenever there was downtime

Interview lasted around 10 minutes Didn't ask me for identification at the interview, despite specifying on website. Still a good idea to bring ID just in case Asked me: what does respect mean to you? how would you show respect in the workplace? who's your role model and why? how would you greet a customer? what’s more important? fast or friendly service? how would your teachers describe you? can you cope with a fast paced working enviroment? The manager then took me into the back of the resturaunt where I worked at the drive through window for around 20 minutes, handing food to the customers and asking if they wanted any sauce with it. The manager left one of the staff with me to prepare the orders and give them to me, to hand to the customers. probably is a test of your communication with customers or something. was good fun, and the staff are happy and very kind
