What does “considering” on the application status page mean in terms of the application? This is my second application as the first one went from “received” to “closed”to”not selected”. So, does this mean I’m closer to an interview?

  • I’d imagine this just means McDonald’s are looking through all submitted applications and are considering the best ones, so yes probably closer to an interview.

  • It means they have it and they are reviewing applications

  • It possibly means you are being shortlisted so yes, I would say that means you are closer but it isn't a guarantee.

  • no it doesnt

  • Yes, they are considering if you should get an interview. You should though. It isn't hard!

  • Considering means your not guaranteed an interview but will look in to it. Your application went from received to closed because they may have found someone already.

  • Yes you will be closer!

  • The interview process goes through many stages with recruiters or managers reviewing this on a regular basis, many restaurants will only hire a small number at a time, so it may just mean that the quote for that week has been filled so the position is no longer needed.

  • Yes. The application proses can be long and hard as they don't employ people with "too good of grades".

  • This depends on the workplace. In my opinion, 'considering' means they have a lot of other applications coming in and would like to keep their options open
