My experience started off quite well but deteriorated rapidly when a new member of staff was introduced. I still don't know if the work style was changed because of them or whether management made them change it to be that way. I was unable to work with a micro management style because there was enough to do on a daily basis without introducing more new ways of doing things daily! I went from being very happy and knowing I was doing a good job even though I started at the beginning of a pandemic, to finding out that I was being let go. This within a space of 10 months. Be warned that the hours that you are told you will do extend way beyond that on your contract. I was never scared of hard work but this place...

Pros

Location was easy to get to. Nice colleagues to work with

Cons

Very long hours and weekend working. Not much support. Remote working which isn't for everyone

As a whole company was terrible to work for specific management really harsh on you and if you didn't do a shift even if you had something pre planned you were stood down for a full week.Always had favourites who got away with murder

Waste of Space company.

Worst company I've ever had the misfortune of working for. They lie to your face. They always miss hours or days you've worked and make you wait for it. They always pay late. The staff are lazy and never listen to you. They smile to your face and stab you in your back. Please take my advice stay WELL AWAY from this company if you don't you'll regret it. There's absolutely nothing positive about this company. STAY CLEAR.

Company so bad that h*ll looks like a summer vacation

Horrible company, they 'forget' pay your wage for a shift ever do often even though you handed the timesheet in. So you got to check your wages constantly. Dont pay you on time so you so you forever chasing them. No staff to get ahold off, when you do they constantly lie to you.

I worked on CP5 Track Renewals with McGinley for at least 2 years and I especially enjoyed working on the Hope Valley line including Totley and Cowburn Tunnels.

Worked for about four months for Mcginley company, had Very bad experience, had many overtimes hours unpaid and no one cared to sort the problem , never got paid for those hours . Will never ever work for that agency anymore tricky people !

Good company to work for.

Good company, pay on time.Good work culture28 day holidays including bank holiday. It means 5 weeks and 3 days pay.Contracting big projects. It means as long as you do your job properly you job is guaranteed till the project is finished.Management listens.

Pay gets messed up every week, get spoken to like rubbish , get jobs miles away when work on in your city, get blanked

far/ wide from getting mid week work will last few weeks if that then back to one day a week, you won’t go no we’re working for these or any agency awful company, get put every weekend 100 miles away when there is loads and loads of work with network rail in Carlisle the lads you work with in your area cabt get there heads around it either don’t work for these you will not go anywhere with them and have no money, have ti chase your pay every week because it will be wrong, if you get mid week to work away you get no extra money so waste of time you only work away for more money, get like 50p more doing nights then day rate

Full of slackers

You have to carry a bunch of lazy childish boys every shift whilst they get paid the same pathetic wages as yourself, if your lucky because 6 times out of 10 they get your wage wrong, do little or nothing to rectify it with no amount of urgency

Worst company ever

They hardly have any jobs, and when they do they will phone you at 7 pm to go for a shift at 10 pm, even though the journey was about 2 hours. They hardly ever answer there phones. Do not get sponsor by them

I've not been paid for the week that I worked, and it is now 3 weeks later. I got told that the job was permanent when after a week I was told I wasnt needed. Cant get my pay no one answers any phone and I cant get in contact

Unorganised and dishonest company. Had to beg for my wages to be paid for 3 months. Got told loads of work is on but was working 3 shifts a week maximum.
