Scheduler/Administrator in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Understaffed Workplace
Overall my experience of working for MD Group was OK. The main issue was the under staffing and the pressure that put everyone else under. The Management allowed this to continue for months before attempting to hire additional staff unsuccessfully owing to the slightly lower than average salary for the role. The staff were OK but Management behaved in a draconian way and were at best out of touch with understanding just how stressful the workplace was as a result of under staffing . All of my immediate colleagues were experiencing an unhealthy level of stress and it was affecting their well-being. This was my main reason for leaving.

great office staff. bad managment
my time as a scheduler was tough but rewarding. directors sit on a table watching every move you make. they get involved and override managers decisions constantly. your told to book appointments then told off for missing calls whilst your calling to book, impossible to get right with numerous different instructionsvery stressful and no perks whilst targets are impossible.sacked with no warnings or unable to explain the situation.bad place to work. only interested in profit.

Terrible management and a lot of leavers
This company draws you in as a great place to work, they don’t care for staff and the directors really don’t care about anything than making money. They’re self sabotaging and won’t be around (or owned) by the same directors next year. Suppliers are paid late all the time, and there’s only enough cash to pay the wages each month. No benefits, no loyalty and a pretty toxic atmosphere. HR are out dated and need a new leader, but no one with any sense would work here. Company is doomed

Grass roots business
A real grass roots business with a passion to deliver high standards of services for client's and customers. Communication, team work and dedication is embedded. Commercial focus and fast paced / a great place without politics and a humour to help the day go by. Best place I've ever worked

Great opportunities
I have worked with md group for around 3 years my wife also works for md group on the construction team, she introduced me to the business. I started as a plumber for md although the work can be difficult at times I enjoyed my time working as a plumber for md the social housing sector isn't for everyone. An opportunity came up for me to move up in the business and I am now a supervisor and I look after a good team of engineers.
