Company puts you in some awkward situations regarding callouts. Pay is abysmal. Contract was changed halfway through my first year. Pool cars are an issue. Make sure you are ready to put your car through the ringer

Pros

Nice team

Cons

24 hour shifts spent waiting around. No prospects, poor pay

Relaxed team environment

The line of work we are in means we are under pressure constantly, but it's well organised and the team atmosphere makes it a happy place to work.....

Pros

Relaxed team environment

Fast paced but rewarding

A fast paced job but really rewarding by helping out the people that need it. money could be better but overtime always available. One team leader is amazing and is always there to help, he tries his best even though he is under alot of stress and workload, the other is a waste of space that offers no support whatsoever.

Worst place i have ever worked.

Well where do i start?!?You dont get a break on a 11.5 hour shift. They take on more contracts but reduce staff. Management talk about you infront of others. Management belittle you as they listen to your calls. Management tell you one thing one week then tell you another the following week. Staff are snow flakes so if you have a sense of humour run the other way.

Not very fun to work

Pay is not great for what you do… you’ll be delivering hospital beds to peoples houses and if that means taking them upstairs on your own that’s what you’ll have to do… two man teams do not exists… Basic DIY tasks is just the tip of the ice burg… you’ll be required to fit banister rails, hand rails and other various bits and bobs to peoples walls… sometimes can be up to 30meters does not matter if it’s raining or snowing workload varies… the only real way to make money in this company is to max out over time and go as slow as possible… but that will cut into your own time. If your happy with the base salary the work life balance is fine… you get to take van home but it’s constantly being watched on the tracker

Pros

Free tea and coffee

Cons

W@nk management

Eh its not too bad

If you need something to pass the time here is the place... you get a van to use too and from work (free parking for them), pays pants unless you do decent overtime, on call rota makes no sense because most drivers cry about doing it anyway...

Pros

There might be one

Cons

Late days occasionally

Simply awful

Medequip is a company which will not thank you for your work, will keep pushing you into doing more, doing overtime, and then not paying, management do not care about staff, staff leave on a very regular basis, demanding job, dealing with a lot of sensitive issues, yet pay less than a supermarket! Would not recommend to anyone unless there is a serious shake up in management,

Pros

None

Cons

Long hours, overtime not paid, poorly managed business

Supportive and innovative company

Working for Medequip has been the best move of my career, I have a supportive knowledgable team around me, there are opportunities to learn and progress along with smart and advanced systems and tools to aid my role. Medequip has an excellent culture with a team of hard working people who constantly do their best to help people in need, I feel proud to work for a company where I know I am making a difference to other people’s lives. I could not recommend working at Medequip more if I tried.

Pros

Supportive team, home working and career progression.

Collaborative and Caring

Working for Medequip is a blessing and a curse - but not in a bad way! Medequip's role in the community is so important, and even though I'm not a front-line worker I feel I'm part of a huge team of amazing people, working towards improving the welfare of people in need of support at home when they are at their most vulnerable. It's a curse because you want to do all you can to help keep that Medequip engine running and that can mean you end up putting more hours in to the role than you probably should. I've always found being a payroll manager rewarding and at times difficult too - and at Medequip it's no different. There are always going to be emotive exchanges when it comes to money, it's inevitable but I always endeavour to provide clarity and corrections where necessary. One of my favourite parts of the job is helping people to understand more about their pensions, their payslips and how their overall pay is calculated. It’s a great place to work if you want to feel you’re making a difference to peoples lives.

Pros

Job satisfaction, part of a good team, option to work from home.

Cons

Sometimes long hours

Committed and caring

Medequip provide community equipment to the elderly, disabled, end of life and for those who are undergoing surgery and need relief around the home. For those who take it seriously and commit to the companies visions and values, this is fantastic and rewarding place of work.

Pros

Company van for drivers, generous overtime pay, caring colleagues.

Cons

Long hours on some rare occasions

It's part of Health and Social Care

The company has a vital role delivering community equipment to people's homes, often to allow them to be discharged from hospital sometimes as an emergency that means out-of-hours work at short notice. Each depot team works for up to 5 contracts Medequip have with the local authority or local NHS CCG Trust. It is demanding but rewarding work that benefits some of those who need the support of the NHS and social care most in our society, and though the work is hard, those in our teams who understand and embrace it get tremendous satisfaction and self value from being part of this sytem that helps others.

Pros

Job satisfaction, helping others, job security, part of a good team.

Cons

Sometimes long hours, call outs.
