It sometimes varies depending on the role, but normally - you apply for the job, it goes through shortlisting, then if successful you get an interview invite, and attend interview. If successful after interview, you will receive an email with an offer letter and contract. The offer letter asks you to complete some pre-employment checks. Pre-employment checks include a DBS check, Occupational Health check, right to work check, and references. If you need to have a driving licence or qualification, they'll need to see that too. Then once the checks are complete, you start work.
