Great place to work

Productive, great wage for the job you do. Supportive staff. I worked a variety of roles here, the work does get quite repetitive but overall a decent place to work. Pay is on time and fair too

Say you are guaranteed 4 shifts and you can pick the days, when really you will be lucky to get one shift a week. You can travel to work and be sent home with no pay or reimbursement for travel costs. Your expected to wait round in the hope you get a shift and god forbid you miss a call from the office

Treat you like dogs

Next Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire - 15 April 2023

Can fire you on the spot - extremely cliquey . Manager talks to you like children. Transportation takes hours to come even after working a long shift. Watch you going to the toilet have to always log and fill in forums for everything.

I have been with Meridian nearly 3 years which has flown by. I love the fact that I have the ability to concentrate on the job I love and I know, no two days are the same as I cover a range of roles within Office and Professional and I am able to use my extensive experience of the recruitment industry to help Meridian grow in an area that hadn't really been looked at closely before.Having spent my career within large multi-national corporates, I wouldn't go back! The personal touches from the directors are something I have never had before.Recruitment has evolved during and after the pandemic and I feel Meridian adapted so well to the ever changing employment market. Yes recruitment will always be a changing but I believe I am with a company that will evolve with it and am looking forward to what the future brings

Good temp experience

Data entry work, atmosphere was relaxed and the supervisor was laidback. Word was repetitive but that is the nature of the role. Canteen conditions were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

As far as an agency goes, they arnt too bad. Just a shame they have to obey the rules of absolute idiotic managers from next. As far as they run as an agency it isn't too bad though, although staff in the office are over loaded with work constantly but they still do their best to accommodate your needs.

Repetitive but time goes quick

Manual handling job, fast paced and friendly staff. Next employees don’t treat you differently and managers and skilled trainers are there to help you and want you to succeed. Agency did have issues with telling us the correct shift times and paying us correctly, was hard to speak to them on the phone as often they wouldn’t answer

God awful place to work

Management are terrible, it is a toxic place to work, the chances of your pay being correct each week are slim to none, the 12 hour shifts are exhausting and unnecessarily long, work life balance doesn't exist and you will be told to do all sorts of jobs that aren't your responsibility.

Mixed bag

Colleagues were nice, supervisor was lovely, but the job sucked and the company we were working for was awful. Pretty much as bad as you expect doing data entry, plus fairly hostile managers (these were not meridian employees). Would have left early if the (meridian) supervisor wasnt so supportive.

Never ever have i had a job like this! had my induction in bradford, told to start work there the nect day, only to be picked up in a taxi and driven a hour to a warehouse no where near where i lived! fuming wasn't the word, if anything happened to my self or my family, i wouldn't of been able to get back this wasn't a typical day at work!i learned how easy it was for someone to lie to me!i wasn't aloud to talk to management. never again
