Venue Manager in Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands
on 4 July 2022
Say goodbye to your life
What a mistake I made. I took a leap of faith and joined this company after covid took my last job. I didn’t actually plan on sticking, but as life goes, bills build up. One credit I do owe, is the opportunity for overtime... I just did not count on it being often 60-70 hours a week.. mostly lone working from the hours of 6am-8pm, usually for 7/8 days in a row. Area management is a joke, very little regard for staff wellbeing, uncontactable when required, and often cannot provide answers and seek out support from other venue managers. Prepare to be contacted on your days off, on holidays, and on one occasion at the funeral of a close family member. You will be required to cover at other venues, deal with customer death threats, and fix broken machines. Feel free to call in sick as often as you like, most staff do, due to their high turnover and little disregard to venue managers, they can’t really sack you because they can’t afford to lose staff who have even the most basic understanding of the job Supervisor in Catterick Garrison

Awfully
Awfully ran! Bad management! Bad salary! They withheld furlough money from employees and made out they weren’t entitled to it when they actually were! Just badly ran Supervisor in Bicester, Oxfordshire

Really poor place to work
Well what can I say? After seven years of being in this company they treated me like rubbish and no chance of progression whatsoever. The area managers are so appalling! Assistant Manager in Huddersfield

Horrid company to work for
Poor management, horrid working conditions, had to work nights alone most of the time. Training doesn't matter to them, treatment of staff is very poor What would you say about your employer?
