Long hours which change based on demand within the last hour of shift if management have messed up staffing. On the small amount of jobs where you can make a difference it feels good. Otherwise most jobs are just ticking boxes until it all repeats

Got worse

Used to be a good place to work but culture of policing now makes it much harder to do a good job. Can be fun and colleagues make it easy to have a good laugh but the hours are long and the pay doesn’t reflect the risk carried with the job .
