Reviews for Police Officer at Metropolitan Police
Undervalued and understaffed
Police Constable (Former Employee) - West London, Greater London - 5 September 2023
It's hard to sum up the police because one minute it's the best job ever and the next the worst. I enjoyed the working with mates and in a close knit group but when you are asked to work yourself to the bone and seemingly get no recognition for your hard work, it gets draining. I wouldn't put someone off from joining but am equally not surprised when someone leaves.

Long but worth it
Police Officer (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 24 August 2023
Met so many amazing people that will be friends for life I understand that everyone is against the police but it's not all police officers and I wish I stayed but the hours were too long!

Training
Police Officer (Current Employee) - London - 9 June 2023
Over all else the training received has proved to be sun standard. Officers are entering the workforce with very little service and being assured by officers with barely 3 yrs service. Officers are frightened to get involved as the support isn’t there when things go wrong. Until the met sorts itself out, it’s not a pleasant experience.
Pros
Security
Cons
Poor pay to start
