long hours, bad breaks
Floor Assistant (Former Employee) - Upstairs - 24 June 2018
The owner of the establishment is very nice. However, the general manager does not know how to speak to people, has shouted at staff in front of customers for no reason, can be pleasant sometimes but this is relative to what mood he is in.

Applications Specialist (Current Employee) - London - 31 July 2017
I felt that within this organisation there was a lot of negative culture in the workplace which impacted my work and also other departments. I also felt that rewards and recognition for successes was not given where and when deserved which meant that the team was not motivated.

Unfair treatment avoid
Support Worker (Part-time) (Former Employee) - Chesterfield, Derbyshire - 21 June 2017
Expect you to work all hours. No rolling rota so can go months without a weekend off. No flexibility with your hours bullied if you say anything. HR are not interested in helping you. I had hardly any sick days did training and covered shifts they will not even give me a reference now. Wages are late and they make you wait till the next month. Favouritism is rife management diabolical.
Pros
Good holidays
Cons
No one listens or cares

Team leader (Current Employee) - Ware, Hertfordshire - 19 April 2017
really enjoy this role, something to get my teeth into, feel very supported in this role, supported with training and guidance, flexible working hours if I needed a day off in the week I could make up the hours at the weekend on shift.
Pros

Productive
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - 2 April 2017
A typical day would be listening to customers regarding repair or housing issue such as ASB, neighbourhood issues, I have learnt a lot throught the contractors we have used regarding repairs related at my property, the hardest part of the job is if someone is upset due to a death in the family or just general issues. I have met a group of wonderful people and will treasure my memories and the fun we had
Pros
Meeting friends
Cons
People complaining

Good ethos but continually restructuring leads to high turnover
Business Intelligence Analyst (Current Employee) - Nottingham - 18 October 2016
The company has a positive ethos but continually internally restructures which leads to a loss of experience and leads to high levels of staff turnover
Pros
Positive ethos
Cons
Poor staff retention

Senior Mental Health Care and Support Worker (Former Employee) - Saffron Walden - 16 March 2016
I was most of this period an employee of Granta Housing Society and had great respect for this organisation and there professional and experienced team of managers .
Unfortunately my time at Metropolitan was at the beginning of severe cuts to mental health funding and in the end I chose redundancy .

Ningun problema con los residentes. Directiva y gestión de la empresa lamentable, solo piensan en el dinero y no en las personas.
Care and Support Worker (Former Employee) - Cambridge - 19 February 2016

Police Sergeant (Former Employee) - London, ENG - 6 November 2015
I was a team supervisor and was in charge of 6 PC'S it was my job to look after them completing their annual reports and assisting them in then in progressing their careers. I was also employed in the custody office and this involved me dealing with arrested people dealing with any of their medical problems and all other problems. I would be in charge of up to 11 prisoners and it was job to deal with them. This involved me dealing with people from 11-80's and from many different backgrounds
Cons
Long hours

Very little job security
Income Officer (Former Employee) - Nottingham, ENG - 3 October 2013
Although I enjoyed my work at Metropolitan, I received very little support from my management in challenging situations. However, I managed to collect over £150,000 to help reduce the company's arrears and maintained a collection rate of over 106%. I enjoy customer service and assisting people with managing their debts, but would prefer a role with more job security.
Pros
Able to help vulnrable people in need, good salary
Cons
Poor managment, no job security
