Work-life balance

Domestic Cleaner in Crewe, Cheshire
on 3 July 2020
Domestic assistant
Being a domestic or any sort of porter at the hospital your a no body. Everyone looks down on you. Management/supervisors expect to much and are pushing to get jobs done. Domestics have to skip a few corners to get a full ward complete, wards should have 2 domestics or at least give extra staff for a couple of hours so it can have a proper clean. No support is given and nothing is ever private. Domestics and all porters should be more recognised and thanked for all the hard work they do!
Senior Staff Nurse in Crewe, Cheshire
on 26 October 2019
A good salary in line with Agenda for Change Policy, however the Trust have a poor understanding of the term ‘Work-Life Balance’. Good parking facilities which other Trusts local to MCHFT, severely lack so this makes the start of the working day much less stressful than for our colleagues at UHNM.

Former MA Leighton hospital
Over the top responsibility for minimum wage and to add insult to injury, have to pay ( out of a pittance) to park to do your big brother esk job, 12 hrs but only get paid for 11, absolute per take, anyone with any sense or a bit about them should move on!
PA to Consultant Physicians in Crewe

High pressure working environment
Working in the NHS is high pressured but very rewarding. Leighton Hospital is a friendly environment with hardworking, dedicated staff. I have worked there for 6 years.

Decent place - but underfunded NHS
Decent place - but typically underfunded NHS. Certain areas of the place in need of improvement. Some buildings and departments in need of repair. IT infastructure needs major improvement.
