Wider council is fine but improvements needed
Pretty good place to be if you’re just starting out but I wasn’t. In all my years of experience, this is the first time that I couldn’t trust my team and my manager was like a ghost! Absolutely no support and never saw her unless I was doing something wrong, in a team meeting or having a 121. Racism is rife, they bang on about equality, diversity etc but it’s just sweet talk. High sickness absence rates with stress being one of the top reasons, no surprises there. Avoid if you like your sanity.Care Manager in Milton Keynes

Productive
Every day is different which makes it more enjoyable. Reliable and supportive manager couldnt not ask for anymore, not matter how busy the team manager is they always have time for you. I am constantly learning every day and have progressive options. Its great to feel part of a team and feel included and to work with kind caring people who will help at a drop of a hat. I could not ask for more in a job.Assistant HR Business Partner in Saxon Court

Good work experience
Enjoyed the variety of my worktasks, had a supportive team, manager was friendly, helpful and easy to approach, onboarding process was good and helped me integrate into the role quickly, HR tools were effective and easy to use, pay was fair, good flexi/agile workpractices, CEO was pulsed in and a great example. Mostly enjoyed my time working at the council and would recommend. Homeless Preventions Officer in Milton Keynes
