Mint People Employee Reviews

The opportunities for work were definitely fun places, but the length of shifts were awful and there wasn't a sniff of a break on any of them. Most of the people you'll be working with are sound, just people needing money from a few one-off shifts as well. You'll have a different team and management around you from shift to shift, so don't worry about bad relationships, the staff and management vary by venue. It's literally just show up, work and leave type work. As long as you're okay with being treated like a number, it's okay every once in a while.

Worst Environment

Staff are patronising and have dirty attitudes, they think they are superior. They are not. They don’t teach you anything they just throw you into a packed event and expect you to cope.

Long hours nothing to show for it. You have to keep messaging when things are going wrong and you’ve been paid incorrectly. Messages don’t get answered for days, sometimes weeks.

The company is very disorganized, they do not approve your request until 2 or 3 days before the event, they tell you what uniform you must wear the day before, communication with the organizers is little or none, they pay very little and in most cases events, you must bring your own food for a 20-minute break after 12 poorly paid hours

Festival bar staff

Unfriendly and uncaring team to work for. Despite no bar working experience (which they knew at interview and again before the shift) the manager expected front line service with no training (nothing!) and no support. Extremely stressful environment. Signed up for back bar shift hoping to learn and gain experience. No team spirit. Extremely disappointing. Would not recommend if new to the business.

Cancelled shift when I turned up.

I drove an hour and a half to my working destination on the day of my shift. I checked before I left and several times on the way to make sure I would still be able to work. I had arranged childcare for my shift/s, I arrived on site to be walked back and forward as no one knew what they were doing. Very unorganised and unprofessional. I learnt the tills, served one drink and then got told to go home. Now being ignored regarding pay.

It’s an agency so pay is better than average however jobs are not guaranteed. Can be slow to pay money due even if you have proof and have signature.

Fun Workplace

Ok for a temporary job like over summer. Shift pattern is slightly annoying as it is not set and varies from week to week with some weeks no work. Overall good experience though.

Mint people are a great agency love working with them and working at event everyone is so lovely and friendly and very easy to get along with they always make sure you are alright and help you with anything you need when working at an event but also they give you a choice on what events you would like to work at definitely best job I’ve had

Challenging but rewarding work

It’s a tough job doing bartending at festivals but the management and lovely fellow employees make it worthwhile. I feel really looked after whenever I work with mint and I don’t ever get that feeling that I’m not doing enough or that I’m incompetent. It’s really rewarding and so much fun.

Staff were amazing

Over the weekend the staff were very helpful and down to earth, making a great environment to work in. Whenever needed for a solution or guidance on a situation the correct mannerisms were used despite the hectic nature of the work .
