Mitie will look after you if you are doing a good job, if you are a cover officer then your hours could be low.If you get a good site then stay there because they are few and far between.

great job but unproffessional region for the company

i was on suspension for 12 months for an incident at work and area management failed me in this time, 10 or so meetings, investigations, grievances and disciplinary meetings took places as communication was none existent within the company. Not the worst company to work for.

Higher management is a problem with most of them not able to complete or have the basic knowledge of what the people do below them which always creates issue when they have an idea without the base knowledge of the site. Support from management is at a minimum due to overworked ops managers with too many site to control.

Generally Mitie in London is a very Stressful and miserable place to be.

The work day is what you make it. Doing a first class job and keeping the Client happy is paramount. Always be cheerful and friendly without being over familiar. Ensuring your staff carry out their duties professionally, thoroughly, efficiently and fairly. I have learnt nothing from Mitie, other than that London Management are mostly unprofessional, unsympathetic and do not understand the job of their teams on the ground. Pay generally is very poor. Security staff have not had a pay rise in 5 years. Amazingly, my co-workers are a good friendly crew of Security officers who are loyal, dedicated and professional. Contacting and communicating with Mitie managers is the most stressful, annoying, frustrating and impossible feat - this is without doubt the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part of the job is is dealing with all users, client managers, contractors and engineers.
