Team Leader in Birmingham, West Midlands

Meet great people, Enjoyable shift patternWorking here was great at first as you meet different people and they become part of your family. That's the only positive. Management should be on incapacity benefits. HR wasn't very helpful either. Some Health Care Practitioners were amazing but most were extremely moody. The pay was terrible and there was a lot of favouritism, infighting and conflicts of interest. The team leader was married to the manager but they broke up because the manager hooked up with her friend on holiday. It's something out of EastEnders. It was entertaining at the time.

Poor pay long hoursPoor pay, poor conditions long hours management not bothered about well being. Poor facilities often No water and inadequate heating 2 days 2 nights mess up your body clock. Work area poor broken chairs no water no toilet. a culture of bulling, you are not even allowed to look at the time on your phone. If you want to be treated like a child, work in poor conditions with no benefits then look no further. The main staff gate where you work has no where to wash your hands, great for covid. No where to put any food you may want to bring in, no decent drinks facility. Low paid workers expected to pay airport prices on a daily basis. As much overtime as you like at a flat rate, this company will let you work 18 hours a day if you want to
Facilities Assistant in Birmingham

Low salary for the volume of work requiredWorking for Mitie is shift work. Earliest is 7am - 15:00 and late shift is 11am-19:00. The volume of work is unexplainable as the staff turn over is constant. The average time a staff member stays is around 4/5 months and then they move onto another contract or company. The work load is then expected to be handled by 2 possibly 3 members of staff. Working for mitie is very hard and wages are £19,000 on average as they don’t mention this in the job ad. It’s unprofessional management make your day harder as they don’t even know how to do your job however they change processes thinking it will work and inevitably it never does! Staff are undervalued and underpaid and I am not surprised they have no staff.

15 years behind. Engineers filling out paperworkThis company is 15 years behind. As well as managing an app you have to do a job record sheet with ours , a time sheet and job report sheets. I spend half my time doing paperwork while other companies have been paperless for 10 years. One of my friends just left mitie for a another company. I met you with him to be shown a tablet and he said they were paperless .Mitie are now taking on new engineers on more pay than what they are paying current guys .
