Company honest and helpful

I have worked as security receptionist at a site for 14years and gone through several companies under tupe and from all them the best was Mitie, they are supportive honest and if you have any issues Mitie would sort it. Just sad they left, I couldn’t go with them as they were unable to find a similar position elsewhere, they tried and I thank them for that.

Non helpful management

Horrible company to work for, wages always wrong, no help or support from management, a lot of friends and their family all work here and they seem to get anytime they want off, can come in early, go home early, can take the day off but still marked as done full shift and still get paid and the rest of us have to do their work. Very hard to get uniform and stock needed to do job properly

Nightmare

Absolutely waisted my time, told me what I wanted to here on phone interview. Made to work without correct equipment, left good job as I thought that Mitie was going to help me progress as was told. No 1 ever to get in touch with when needed but yet quick to chase you up. Stay well clear of these…….serious joke of company.

Don't waste your time

Another awful company exploiting staff with low rates of pay while every manager drives a Tesla and will meet you at site visits with news of their most recent ski-ing trip to France. The work itself is fine but it seems to be acceptable to expect staff to be over stretched and without enough time to complete jobs, using tools that are old and breaking and not enough of each to go around and for it to then be staffs fault when complaints are made by clients. If upper management could bare to share some of the generosity of the companies profits instead of funnelling it all straight in to their own pockets this could be a good company to work for but as it stands you are paid minimum wage and never given a real answer as to why more and better equipment can't be provided.Your hours are fairly reasonable but expect days to be dis-organised, over worked, pressured and with the weight of expectation always on your shoulders to do the kind of work that deserves at least £12 to £16 per hour. Some days you are treated as a glorified litter picker who should be grateful for the bare minimum and the next expected to be a highly skilled landscaper.With the kind of clients this company has there is no excuse for such low rates of pay and poor working conditions. It doesn't do justice to the image the company is trying to purvey and keeps turnover of unsatisfied staff high with little concern for those having to train each newbie and even less concern for the kind of people they are hiring which seems intentional to some extent as it seems they want people who will just be grateful -

Terrible.

Within my first few days already had managers giving me attitude for asking questions. Training was just a few slides and then listening to others do their job.

Not a bad place to work

Relaxed but not much in pay compared to other roles. Lack of career progression as they are happy to let you carry on doing what your doing. But I would recommend

Interesting work

Great people to work with, good info sharing in-house, helpful and knowledgeable management and supervisors . Quite large work base with several large contracts.

Rubbish

Management couldn't care less about you supervisors didn't know what they were doing had no authority over other staff members staff on the early shift left to there own devices

Would not recommend anyone to work for this company.

All i can seem to say is overall the company is okay but the major downside is that managment are useless and there is no appreciation for the work that you do. Overall i would stay away from this company.

Shambles

Couldnt run a bath. Management never to be seen, everything done online. Had holidays rejected because i didnt give 4 week notice i gave 5 weeks notice. No chance of progression. Management and client site look down on you as you are second best. Lasted 3 month and left never to return.

Terrible

Work here if you have given up on your career, you will stagnate, be ignored by managers and be bored out of your mind.Very inflexible and long hours for little regard, with very little progression opportunities. An example of the inflexibility is that the lunch break is one hour, despite repeated requests this could not be changed to 30mins and an earlier finish for no reason other than "it can't be".

Management not helpful at all

The management only call you when they need to, other wise if you try and contact them you get no answer and no help at all. They never get back to you when you call them so any thing you need help with your on your own , good luck with that .

Disappointed

Management throw you under the bus at the first sign of a complaint even if you where just doing your job. Only people that matter are the clients who the money is coming from.

Worse company ever!!!

Management always cover ever overs backs. Not bothered about the gards, my manager had changed 3 times in 7years still not seen one of them. They just call when they need you. Good luck getting through to them, treated like kids. If you refuse a shift, the will punish you by taking always tour shifts. Online system is always crashing, no help from no one feel like your a solo working and have no backing, would never work for them again. Also they always mess your pay up.

Good company

Good company and benefits, relaxed style of management. Some bad apples though and they ruined the working environment. Training was excellent as was the flow of company news.

Great management, professional and can improve a lot of skills and experience within mitie security.. Definitely recommend to anyone want get career in security industry in uk

Poor management

A normal day is very slow - the management and culture within the office is awful. There are groups amongst staff/supervisors who openly bend rules to suit and its quite toxic.

Falsely saying "view to career progression"

No career progression or pay rise or any other benefits will be given. They are going to use like tissue papers to clean their backside. Do not trust them or think it like permanent work
