Mitie is good to work for if you have a good manager.
Touch point cleaner (Former Employee) - DWP Kings Heath - 29 January 2023
I worked for mitie limited for over 2 years as Touch Point Cleaner during covid. The work wasn't a hard job you had enough to do and I had a good manager. Which makes life much enjoyable and better.

Cleaner (part-time) (Former Employee) - Buxton, Derbyshire - 28 December 2022
Good pay. Cleaning is basic. Constant staff shortage. Expect to make your own way to work. Management/supervisors are not as supportive as you would expect.

Good place to work
Surgery Cleaner (Current Employee) - York, North Yorkshire - 30 November 2022
I currently clean a GP surgery for the company and have been there afew years now. The other cleaner I work with is really nice and we get along to do the job. Our manager has always paid us on time and if you do extra hours it is always added on. Ordering stock is very easy and has been delivered in a timely manner. The only down side is that I don't feel the wages are high enough as my job is minimum wage. Other than that the company offer benefits that other companies do not and we were given recognition for working through covid and given a extra day holiday to say thank you. I would recommend working for Mitie.
Pros
Benefits, good managers, nice team.
Cons
Wages need to exceed minimum wage

Very hard to get uniform and stock needed to do job properly

Avoid at all costs
Cleaner (part-time) (Former Employee) - Drumchapel, Glasgow - 8 September 2022
If you want to be treated like dirt, threatened constantly, over worked and underpaid this is the place to be however no one has any idea what is supposed to be done. The supervisor sits on a machine for the entire shift whilst you are left to run about doing all the work!

Worked for them for 4 years. Found management efficient and pretty understanding, they appreciate hard work plus good attendance and getting on with your employer.

Stressful
Cleaning Operative (Former Employee) - Rugeley - 29 July 2022
Long 12-hour shifts, all payments are incorrect; either the monthly wage or holiday entitlement. There is no support from upper management, there is no family work balance, and after a 12-hour shift with multiple jobs, all you can do is shower, sleep, and return to work the next day. There are many issues between coworkers, and the volume of work is distributed based on how well you get along with the supervisor. Take the job only if it is absolutely necessary; otherwise, mental health and psychical issues will be a constant presence in your life.

Don't do it!
Cleaner (part-time) (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 27 July 2022
Absolutely shocking line managers, can't get in touch with them at all. Leave you with no cleaning equipment and yet still expect the place to be kept up to standards. Expected to do the job of 2 people in the same time and with the same pay and keep the same standard. Absolutely shocking
