Childish, Like school, short breaks, progression not as simple as made out to be, turnover is very poor but expected as there’s no progression within 12 hour shifts

Life in the Mitsubishi lane
Technical Operator (Current Employee) - Livingston, West Lothian - 17 August 2022
This job has been fantastic for me and my family. The pay well with shift allowance on top of basic competitive rates. Working 3 days a week and 4 once every 4 weeks is a game changer. I have also made friends for life. The work isnt as fast paced as other have said compared to other places but will keep you on your toes and stop you clock watching a being bored.
Pros
Good pay, holidays and progression
Cons
Long hours (12 hours)

It’s not exactly interesting work, but the hours are very good and supervisors and managers are nice. Pay is okay, would recommend to working there to anyone looks for work in that industry.

Great place to work, sometimes very fast paced and comes along with certain target numbers to be met however there is normally not anyone shouting at you and they are pretty happy as long as you are working.
Pros

Cons
Really hard work, sometimes boring.

Secure Employment if you want to work
Rather not say (Current Employee) - Rather not say - 11 September 2021
Currently worked here for 8 years and no intention of leaving. If you show initiative and interest in the product were building you won't be on the same mundane task every week.I've worked for many places that offer no employee benefits or support, that is 100 percent not the case here. There are issues with material supply...... we just came through a pandemic to be hit by brexit of course there are delays with materials. Line leaders and supervisors do need to brush up on people skills to understand you get more from people by being relatable and to be fair Management is not perfect but I have found the vast majority to be professional and polite which is the approach that Japanese management expect from all levels of management. If your Young, old, male, female you are welcome to join us. If you want to work and take a bit of pride in what we are assembling my advice is give us a call there are opportunities for those who want to take them. If you couldn't care less and just want to cash a paycheck every week DO NOT APPLY! The break times could be improved as the 10 min breaks i think reduce productivity. Machinery has become old and do breakdown but heavy investment is underway to improve the equipment efficiency. People want instant results with everything but fail to realise the full barriers we face.
Pros
Secure employment, employee support programme, approachable HR
Cons
Fast paced factory

Jobs at Mitsubishi Electric
Good wages, poor mental health do not go hand in hand
Factory Worker (Former Employee) - Livingston, West Lothian - 19 January 2021
Excellent pay, good benefits. Good canteen. Kept busy with work. On your feet all the time. Management are very strict. Team support can sometimes be non-existent. Lots of favouritism, if you are in the "gang". Some of the people working here are very arrogant and they cause lots of trouble. Very much a bullying culture. Health and Safety often ignored by people taking short cuts. High turnover of staff. Sadly good wages and poor mental health do not go hand in hand.
Pros
Excellent Pay, Good Benefits, Good Canteen
Cons
No Team support, Favouritism, People causing trouble, High Turnover of staff

Excellent hours, pay, perks, tiring work.
Production Operator (Former Employee) - Houston - 17 April 2018
Mitsubishi Electric is a standard Factory/Production Operation job. The pay is great, the hours are great, and the perks are okay. the management is questionable, however, as it's a large place with a lot of employees, so it's hard to tell. If you enjoy standing up for 9 hours a day with barely a chance to stand up until you get home, then this is the job for you.
The pay is great and the company provides a lot of opportunities to work your way up.
Pros
Excellent pay, opportunities, hours, cheap breakfast.
Cons
incredibly exhausting work, depending what you do there.

A good place to work
General Employee (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 7 February 2016
Mitsubishi Electric provides a great number of permanent jobs which can be hard to find these days. The working hours are ideal, starting at 07.00 and finishing at 16.00 Mon-Thur and 07.00 - 12.00 on Fridays. There are always new vacancies within the company for company progression. Pay is fortnightly for non salary employees.
Pros
Subsidised canteen, good working hours.
Cons
The pay isn't the best out there.
