Professional and Thorough Agency
LGV1 Aircraft Refueller Technician (Current Employee) - East Midlands - 6 September 2021
From my application Monarch have been professional and caring. They are not like other agencies. Monarch has adopted a small enough to care big enough to cope ethos. I get weekly and monthly reviews. Payments on time and they go above and beyond to solve and issues. I'm very privileged to have been given I chance to work on a very responsible driving position.
Pros
Excellent pay and hours, easy to put in requests through their work app.
Cons
None what i can think of

Toxic
Aircraft refueller (Former Employee) - London / Gatwick Airport, West Sussex - 8 December 2019
I was taken on by this agency to do Aircraft refuelling at a major UK airport. This was a job that I was wanted to do, so expectations were high.
After I got offered the job, things rapidly went down hill. I had to go on a driving assessment with possibly the rudest most unhelpful assessment bloke I had ever come across, to the point I actually mentioned to Monarch about the attitude but heard nothing back.
Once I arrived at my station, training was very hit & miss. It was apparent I was being used as a gap filler covering holiday & sickness. I was promised 175 hours but I was lucky to have got 100 hours s month.
Then the real trouble started. Terrible managers that basically treated you like something on the bottom of their shoes. I then got a Disciplinary as my roster had changed but no one notified me. I was dragged over the coals for this & docked money from my weeks wages.
By this point I had, had enough & resigned. To my surprise, week later I received a very threatening letter from the owner of Mobarch demanding over payment. Some £200 & if it wasn’t paid I’d be taken to court.
So I’d be extremely cautious about working for this crowd. They are ruthless & your not even a number to them. In fact I’ve never worked for anything quite like it. All this for £14:50 an hour but wages didn’t go above £12 an hour.

Poorly run agency.
Aircraft Refueler (Former Employee) - Gatwick - 25 November 2019
Not a good agency to work for but it was the only way to get the job as a Aircraft Refueler I desperately wanted. Poor management qualities. No local contact. Out of hours contact in Mauritius.

Terrible company to work for Avoid
Tanker Driver/Aircraft Refueller (Former Employee) - Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 Station - 12 November 2019
They don’t care Abou the employees, just the contracts they have with the company.
They would get rid of you at Aston if a hat. No support. You have to work as a temp for them for 2 years before being considered for a permanent role. There a 10k pay difference and your doing the same job.
No benefits, no perks.

Professional and Caring
HR Support (Current Employee) - Chorley, Lancashire - 30 September 2019
I have been working for Monarch since 2011 and can honestly say that I have grown as a person and have learned and developed so many new skills.
Not two days are the same which make the job fun and keep you on your toes with some days more challenging than others, but rest assured that you are never left on your own and help is always at hand when needed.
With the amount of people I have seen had their breakthrough in the Fuel Industry through Monarch Personnel I would highly recommend anyone who is interested to be a Tanker Driver, an Aircraft Refueler or any other roles in this Industry to not waste any time and pay a visit to their Website.

Busy, challenging but interesting
LGV 1 Aircraft Refueller (Current Employee) - Bristol / Lulsgate - 1 February 2019
Refuelling aircraft, loading and driving aviation fuel tankers. Receiving bulk deliveries and sampling of aviation fuels.
Full training from experienced approachable operators. Lots to learn, but full procedures to ensure you’re safe in your knowledge.
Work hard culture, especially during the summer/ski seasons.
Bad weather is probably the hardest part of the job, but adequate kit issued to protect you as much as possible.
Most enjoyable part of the job? Knowing you’ve done your job correctly to get people away on holiday, business or visiting family. Great team of operators all trying to achieve the best service we can give.
Pros
Great team of operators. Free airport parking. Discount in airport stores.
Cons
Changing shift patterns

I enjoy working at Monarch Personnel as every day is different.
Social Marketing and Brand Communications (Current Employee) - Chorley, Lancashire - 31 January 2019
My role ensure the candidate is receiving the best possible experience from when they first apply with us and throughout their employment with us. My first job every day is to look at incoming applicants and ask them to complete applications and book them in for video interviews.
I am in charge of ensuring new starters who are going to be working at the airport have their Airside Passes completed, this is a difficult job as the rules and procedures required for the pass are very strict.
I also run the social media pages for the company and ensure I am posting content that both applicants and employees will find useful and interesting.
I like my role as I'm constantly busy and as I said before, no two days are ever the same.
Pros
There's lots of opportunity for progression in my role
Cons
It can get stressful as I'm often working to meet deadlines

Nasty Outfit, you are better than this
ADR Tanker Driver (Current Employee) - Uk - 28 January 2019
Petty deductions from wages, little feedback.
No shift Allowance although You always work shifts.
Love ex military who are conditioned in being told what to do.
offering Staff the chance of 5 Gift vouchers lately to boost those 5 star reviews, so please watch for those appearing prior or after mine .
They won't update the ADR.
You probably earn in the region of 10k less than other counterparts you work with however you just have to keep smiling whilst you get short changed at every turn.
Some ex oil companies use monarch as a sole agency.
Best advice is to avoid.
Those £18 an hour overtime Rates, relax it's like chasing a Rainbow
Pros
Dont Ring you every 5 minutes They let the Client to that
Cons
Penny pinching

Very bad Agency
Fuel Tanker Driver (Former Employee) - Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey - 23 January 2019
Worked for this company for 6 months, never ever saw a change from £13.50, Mon -fri, Where as the company contracted workers get over time rate at about £18 a hour after 8 hours. When I left due to bad terms with the management of the agency, over me being off work sick, they decided to dock all my breaks of my final monthly wage that was very petty as from the start I always got payed my breaks. Would not recommend this job to anyone. Only thing that came out of it was I manage to get a PDP, but me leaving within the year still has me paying back £1800
Pros
PDP card
Cons
Wages, overtime rate, hours a bad company altogether.

Horrible agency
Tanker Driver (Former Employee) - Grays, Essex - 20 January 2019
Contract says 120 hours but they say 175hours. Make you do 4 days on and 4 days of. We're if you don't do the 175hrs a week you get no over time and the basic 1800 a month for a tanker driver that's is a complete joke. Get treated like dirt and expect you to do them all sorts of favours and get nothing return. Would highly recommend looking elsewere unless that desperate.
Pros
They never ring you.
Cons
Get all your hours worked wrong, pay way less then they say, expect 15 to 18 drops a day. 12 to 15 hour days, vwry high turn over of drivers.
