Lovely place to work
In an absolutely beautiful location, amazing parents and children. Management are so supportive and really go above and beyond for staff. There is a real support system. Childrens learning and welfare is main priority.Overall lovely place to work

Excellent place to work at
I’ve been working for almost two years at this nursery now.All staff are friendly and supporting of each other, they work as a great team. The manager is kind, respectful, down to earth, friendly and approachable.Other senior members above the manager, are wonderful people to work with.

Terrible management
Management aren't helpful and blame everyone for their issues. The rooms are poorly run and not managed well and they don't consider the stress it impacts on you.The owner is nice but the staff they have selected to be room leaders and managers are terrible at their jobs.
Early Years Educator in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

The Best Nursery in the area by Far!
I've been working at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Walton on Thames since it's opened and it has been the best work environment I've ever worked in by far! I have been a qualified early years educator for 4 years and have been at Monkey Puzzle Walton for 18 months (since it opened), since then, I have felt so loved, rewarded and looked after. All my efforts are appreciated daily and the management team look after and appreciate us so much. Every week there's some sort of treat for the nursery staff and the children are treated with so much love. Prior to Monkey Puzzle Walton I worked for an agency and have been to countless different settings, all the same! No one is held to any standard and staff couldn't care less about there job. Here, it all starts with the Director who treats you more like a friend or family member and will show you all the ropes and then hold you to that standard! She then puts you on a succession plan to ensure I can keep growing. Since joining, I have done multiple courses and have enjoyed every moment of growing. The managers treat you really well and will always provide a gentle reminder when needed and compliment you through out the day. The management team as a whole is phenomenal! The nursery doesn't cut a single corner and goes above and beyond for its staff and its children. We just had an Ofsted inspection and the support I received throughout was brilliant, the inspection went fantastically and the team are already preparing a celebration!I couldn't thank management at Monkey Puzzle Walton on Thames enough, they allow me to grow everyday and teach me how to not only be compliant in childcare but to emulate high standards!
Apprentice in Bedford, Bedfordshire

Just awful
I love childcare but this company is very badly managed, always understaffed, Apprentices told to stay with 30+ kids while room leader does nothing to train or help you along your course. Mangers pick favourites and it shows by them allowing certain staff to act like they are managers but realistically should be helping with the children. Regional manager and director aren't bad people, get on well with them both lively people who care about the nursery and kids just need to encourage staff to stick to their own roles and not pretend to be above their station. Staff turnover rates are abysmal never seen a company lose staff this fast!
