Work-life balance

Business Development Manager in East Anglia
on 8 May 2020
Was a great company with the best products, but became complacent
Did not keep up with industry changes and fell from being a market leader to possibly 4th or 5th, was not helped by their choice of management, whom were very poor and was the reason I left the company as I felt my Regional manager who replaced a far superior manager was disorganised and unprofessional annd comprised my business

Unsupportive Employer
The demand and workload for a weeks work at Moore's exceeds 50 hours, contractually it is meant to be 40 hours. You won't be praised for your hard work by management as they don't seem to care about their employees succeeding, they will expect you to work for nothing, and the salary pay is diabolical and therefore isn't worth the stress and pressure that comes with it. The workplace culture at Moores is toxic, a lot of the staff are young females and there's competition against each other on being the best, the staff swear openly in the office in front of clients, the intimidation and aggressive behaviour isn't worth it.

Nice people, but Senior Management poor
Senior Management not interested in people in lower ranks, so will only respect/interact with you if you are at least at Management level. Staff loyalty means nothing to the top management, and they don't care when they lose good people
Project Manager in Essex

Great place to work
Moores is a great place to work and grow. We work closely with other companies within the construction field so I am always networking. My job mainly involved problem solving, and delivery completion dates for site to hit their hand over targets with very little or no snags.
Kitchen designer in Thorpe Arch

Ok but has changed
It started off as a really great place to work but in the end all they where interested in was getting more out of you for less and they seem to be more concerned with image the staff happiness
