Multi Trade
Multi Skilled Engineer (Former Employee) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire - 4 September 2023
Salary okay for the job and area. Lack of management / supervisory staff do not know what they are doing, headless chickens with no direction. No team working attitude. Probably better places to work. No progression & little training. Very disorganized, will lead to alot of stress. Van provided with fuel card, tools not provided.
Cons
No progression. Lack of Management. Stressful.

Good teams
Operations team (Current Employee) - Scotland - 17 May 2023
A lot of good, knowledgeable staff. Pay structure is a bit unusual. Could benefit from some more support from senior members. Expected to work overtime without pay

Wonderful company I've even worked there twice
Scheduler (Former Employee) - Hammersmith and city - 9 May 2023
I've worked at Morgan Sandall twice in my working life and was not disappointed either time. Management and teamleaders are of the best kind I've had.
Pros
Great working environment and team
Cons
Salary does not reflect the work required at a high level planner.

Unfortunate experience with abysmal management
Public Liaison Officer (Former Employee) - Plymouth - 4 February 2023
Management did not know how to support my role which was created by himself. There was no inclusion with my role to the project as a whole. Morgan Sindall as a company seemed reasonable to work for, pay was adequate and work/life balance was accounted for at first, then penalised when put in place. Onboarding was scarce and no training available other than HR/SHE induction. When raising concerns continuously, these were ignored and then penalised for this also. I would not recommend this workplace unless you have no life commitments.
Pros
Adequate Pay
Cons
Poor Management, No Onboarding Support

Minimal training, Over workes
multi skilled operative (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 25 January 2023
Unreal time estimates on jobs. Over time became mandatory work life balance was highly impaired. Management more interested in KPIs instead of good quality work and workers well being

Jobs at Morgan Sindall plc
Good work environment
Resident Liaison Officer (Former Employee) - West London - 18 January 2023
A lot needs to be put right by the team leader, as my role is a very demanding, especially the scaffold log and roofing log. The two register logs should be kept separate and be made easy access.
Pros
I do not have proper induction and training
Cons
Roofing job description should be specified clearly.

Poor structural company
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 18 January 2023
Management don't see you as an individual. Just a payroll number . No support, no training, culture of shadow bullying, very poor management, very poor reputation in the Leeds area, very poor failings as a business to there staff. Mind set is if you don't like the job we can replace you tomorrow. Our way or not at all .
Pros
Non
Cons
Work place form of bullying

Not a bad place to work if you know what youre doing. You get a van, fuel card, supports from other trades/ co workers if help is needed. Salary is too low.
Pros
Easy
Cons

Unfulfilling place to work.
Multi Trader (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 30 October 2022
The company run things as slowly and unproductive as possible and then puts pressure on you causing you to really work like a headless chicken to try and meet demand, as in my case my supervisor tries to put a heavy workload on workers and threatens with disciplinaries to try to make themselves look good but causes a lot of stress to workers as they are often left in impossible situations as 3 days work is crammed into 1 day and procedures of how you are expected to work often waste loads of time. Management is typically poor, when approached with problems, they like to respond with management talk or a do not care attitude. If you stick up for yourself at least a little bit the hours are good. If you don't you could find yourself working 12-hour plus shifts. Everyone I worked with wanted to leave, planned to leave or did leave bar 1 or 2 people, most are not bothered if they were to be laid off. Culture is them and us attitude supervisors upwards, lots of should of and could of speech (blaming/finger pointing) and in my case two faced supervisors who were not there to help and support you. I was exposed to asbestos at least twice I know of due to reports claiming none detected which was later found not to be the case, of course, this was all mine and my colleague's fault. Lots of calls outs etc claimed to be flooding or severe gushing leaking or severely damaged doors and immediate emergencies which 9/10 times turned out to be tiny dripping toilet leaks and sticky locks and minor issues which are always amusing but am glad to be an easy fix.

Good place to work. Nice and supportive management. Jobs were planned ahead in a decent way. Good colleagues. If you are an engineer which has little experience and needs more experience, this is a good place to build up your experience.
Pros
Good place to work for a engineer whith a minimum experience
Cons
