Very nice atmosphere to work in. Lots of benefits like job related and safety-related training, canteen facilities, remotely working facilities, and very supportive people.

Hard workload physically plus very poor pay

Paid very poorly for the work done. As an example have to move 160kg of glucose powder up to a gantry (six steps ?) then pour that into 70 litres of 80 deg water. Hard work !!.Also have to make up rigs on a daily basis from silicon tube etc to be processed thru an autoclave to meet production demand. Causes "Tennis elbow" after building the rigs then having to break them down to be cleaned. Painful work.Management have no idea and you don't know from day to day what's happening. No structure of management to engage employees on a weekly/daily basis. Poor communication

Awful and negative environment to work.

Horrible place to work. Full of two faced backstabbing co-workers who would sell their granny for an overtime shift and gladly slag you off to management while they did it. As for management, only out for their own advancement, will offer you no help or support and if one takes a dislike to you, well goodbye yearly bonus. Utterly clueless and if you’re unlucky enough to make a genuine mistake, then the witch hunt begins and your days are numbered. And they’ll slyly smirk while handing you a disciplinary letter. Horrible company.

Two faced, ignorant management.

Good company, not so good management

Generally a good company to work for but bad management. If you don’t get in the clique you feel it. Good benefit packages including private medical cover.

Amazing work place, the people and the culture. Management is supportive and approachable, progression within the company is visible and open to all. No two days are the same although the activities may be similar, if you are self-driven, you won't be bored.

Relaxed place to work

Friendly, laid back culture. Takes a long time to get access due to security clearings. Very GMP biased. good culture, rewarded well, hardest part being to get used to the hurdles surrounding pharmaceutical guidelines. Learning about all the legistlations

Free coffee & pay

Professional and a great place to work

Professional and a great place to work. They also treat contractors a lot better than other companies. Mangers at MSD know how to lead and are fair. Great place to work.

A company with strong ethos of support and development

Each individual in the company was trained and developed to be self motivated and respectful of others. My day was different each day, from coaching and training my team members to presenting to the board, running workshops and training sessions. The people were an important part of the company - all worked hard, but also played hard - so there was a lot of fun as well as job satisfaction The most enjoyable part of the job for me was running coaching and Insights Discovery session to see the difference that can be made and changing dysfunctional teams in to productive collaborative teams

Great opportunites and learnt so much

Permanent travel to Hertforshire - away from family a lot

Good salary but negative atmosphere

Great salary and bonus scheme Lots of deals on their benefits website Flexi time, apart from your core hours you can choose when to start and finish Lovely pool to sit around in the summer By a lake for walks at lunch Generally a tense atmosphere. It helps if your face fits. Lots of backstabbing and poor management. Don't treat staff equally. The money and benefits will only keep you there so long before it all gets too much.

Good money, bonus and benefits scheme, subsidised canteen, swimming pool and gym on site, flexi time, near a lake for lunchtime walks

Poor management, negative atmosphere, lots of cliques and backstabbing

A Good Factory

A good place to learn very sound manufacturing principles and to work with highly dedicated staff. Lots of room to increase your training and learn from other employees.

Great workplace culture

Multicultural environment with a lot of opportunities to work across different departments and learn different tasks. Focus on employee development and staff is encouraged to take control of their own career.

Craziest place I've ever worked!!

Not having worked for an organisation this large before, I found it utterly bonkers with hos this company operates - a lot of fire fighting and unrealistic timelines and just a crazy way of working. The Company does pay well, bonuses are generally pretty good and there are quite a few events throughout the year but is often a very frustrating and stressful place to be.

Be Careful Who You Trust

If you can talk the talk you've got a job for life. However if you only get your head down and walk the walk you'll get overlooked and eventually let go as they say.

Some good guys there

Blinkered, bullying bosses.

Job wasn't the worst.

it could be a very long and hard day or it could be quite an easy laid back day most of the time depending on what needed doing.
