Nice staff

I loved my coworkers but everyone started leaving as most staff are uni students. Some managers may stress you out and some days were very understaffed as the area is a tourist location and is always busy along with being next to a uni. Overall is was a nice experience and I loved all my coworkers

Give you good shifts and they can tailor them around your personal lifestyle too for e.g. if your studying fulltime etc. Also excellent staff benefits.

Good if you need money quick.

worked a 25/30 hours and was paid ￡48 for using too much holiday upon notice period altrough i'd only used around a week/week and a half tops. my holiday balence still said i had lots of time off, i did try and email but never heard back. alongside that, i was constantly clocked out early, if i finished at 11pm, theyd change it to 10:30 almost always so free labor. building up, they do this to all and it must work out to tons of unpaid labor. employees at this company who have worked here for 4/5 years only proggressed to buddy (which is 20p more) and a supivisor is 50p more! maybe good for a uni student or if you're desperate for money as paid weekly but in genreal i suggest looking somewhere else where you are paid more fairly and paid for the work you've actually done. minuim wage but expect you to do evreything perfectly. staff days out are fun and enaging but speaking with other staff many are unhappy, there's a lot of talking about staff members behind eachothers back. if you need money quickly you get paid weekly which is great however.

fun place to work

I really liked the job as well as the staff due to it being my first full-time job but everyone made me feel welcomed and I really liked the managers and the fact that the staff were all my age way a bonus

Great team but very hard work

Griller (Former Employee) - Arndale Shopping Centre, Greater Manchester - 22 November 2023

I was a griller here for 18 months and loved the team and had great fun, however as a griller you are paid the staff as the waiters. The grilling is much harder I believe and cleaning and closing the grills and the back kitchen is extremely tiring. You had to buy new trainers every few months and your arms were black with dirt. Free meals for breaks was fantastic though and the food can be very healthy. Overall really enjoyed it but only for a short time as not paid well for anything more than this.

Worked here alongside studying at sixth form - one of the best experiences! Managers and staff are lovely, hours were always very flexible and overall I made some great friends. Would recommend.

Great place to work

Nandos Cowley is the best branch to work in. The people are really good, Excellent working environment. It gets crazy during busy hours but it's challenging and fun. The managers really care about their employees. It's like family.

'family' aspect is definitely a lie, just care about profit

Managers treat you really bad, the opposite of encouraging. A few of my managers used to talk bad about other staff working there as well which as a manager what are you doing? The staff who have been there for a few years think they're better than everyone else, it's definitely hard to fit in. The job is super stressful, mainly because of the managers. If its busy they act like everyone is slacking off instead of simply helping everyone out. Also didn't receive proper training at all, no check backs with managers. Also extremely bad communication sorting out shifts. positives: Interview is super easy, they just asked my availability, was kind of annoyed because I actually prepared to be asked questions. Free food is good, 40% off outside of shift. Good first job for 16 year olds, and training for back of house is also offered.

Decent for the most part, terrible ''family'' culture.

Blurry lines between personal and professional, hires mostly students so they get cheaper workforce, then complains some future biologist prefers studying to come do extra shifts and ''does not care about the nandos family'', expect general corpo gaslight.

Decent first job

Fun work place and Very flexible
