Rewarding, but they play the numbers game,as it is about being at the top in the tables game.

If you’re face fits, you’re welcome, if not very hard work, with no back up.The training is very good and the instructors are the best in the country (world leaders) the information given is the best you can get.

Pros

Pay day

Demotivating work environment

Unfortunately due to poor management the records team is not the best environment to work in. The work isn't structured correctly, coordinators/team leads are not given enough support. When the manager does show up she treats the staff poorly. Asking employees to hold her bag, fetch things and overall just had a very demotivating demeanor.

Get your money and run!

The main reason why people stay in this job is because of the excellent pay! Now you need to.ask why? The hours are long and unsociable. Lots of late nights and weekends ( no matter what they say) Practically impossible to book a holiday, so you end up exhausted! Management are something else. There are a few gems, the rest need to take a Management course. You are treated like children. The upside is your work colleagues are brilliant. They'll keep you sane. The job consists of taking emergency electrical phone calls. Power cuts, meters run out of money, cut through power cables etc. Its very stressful and there's no room for error! The customer is always right! 🙄Even though it's not stated. When there's storms etc you're expected to work on. Overtime rates are insane! You've basically sold your soul! Hopefully now National Grid have taken over it'll improve. Take my advice..Take the money then run!

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Long unsociable hours, impossible to book holidays

stress and bully boy management

should be a good company to work for, but there is a put up and shut up mentality, if you can think for yourself you will struggle, working here will lead to bad mental health

Good company to work for

Good company but gradually being changed from above with more paperwork, less time for jobs, more scrutiny and less trust towards employees. But still a good company to work for just not as good as previously

Productive work place environment

A typical work day is truly fulfilling. I get requests for the calculation of protection settings and or development of relay configuration files to be installed in Numerical relays. I handle this professionally with the highest level of quality of work.
