Exceptional Company for Growth and Development
Digital Marketing Specialist (Current Employee) - Prudhoe, Northumberland - 3 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI've had the privilege of working at my current company, and I must say it's an exceptional place for anyone seeking growth and productivity. The company's commitment to personal and professional development is remarkable. They provide a supportive and collaborative environment where I've had the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the company's success. One standout aspect of this company is its focus on productivity. The work environment is both collaborative and efficient, allowing all of us to perform at our best. I appreciate the trust and autonomy they place in their employees, which has motivated me to take on new challenges and make meaningful contributions. The management team is responsive to feedback and open to new ideas, creating an inclusive and empowering atmosphere. In short, if you're looking for a company that prioritises growth, productivity, and professional development, my current company is an outstanding choice. I'm thrilled to be part of this organisation and excited about the opportunities for further growth in the future. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a rewarding and dynamic workplace.

Payroll is very messy
Freelance Tutor (Former Employee) - Remote - 15 November 2023
Missing payments, missing payslips, difficult to get in touch with anyone. Very annoying when people keep missing lessons and they are charged but the tutor receives no money. And then they get handed to someone else with no warning that they probably won't turn up so you won't be paid.

Efficient and timely support, worry-free for freelance tutors
Private Tutor (Current Employee) - Leeds City Centre, West Yorkshire - 27 October 2023
The support from NLG has been amazing. Issues and concerns are dealt with professionally and promptly. The staff are friendly and helpful. As a freelance tutor, I do not have to worry about marketing, enrolling students or collecting payments. They have a wonderful team that would sort that out for me. This gives me more headspace to just teach without all the other administrative work. Love it!!

Freelance so relaxed and freeing
Tutor (Current Employee) - Remote - 2 September 2023
You get to choose how many students to take on so there is freedom in how many hours you work. This is an online job so collaboration is done online- there are weekly tutor meetings which are nice. The pay is okay- for others they may wish it was higher.

Well supported, great team to work with
Admin Team (Current Employee) - Prudhoe, Northumberland - 27 June 2023
I love coming in to work, and the team I am part of are fantastic. We all support each other, and work very well together. We have been growing quickly and added quite a few new team members recently, but they have added to the great atmosphere, and I feel lucky to be a part of it. Genuinely feel like I have found my forever job, and we are genuinely helping our students and tutors, so it is very rewarding.
Pros
Great team and support

Great until you decide to leave
Teacher (Former Employee) - Hexham, Northumberland - 10 December 2022
Great training and a great experience until deciding to resign to persue another opportunity. Had the opportunity to meet some amazing families and children. Forced to resign early and locked out of all teaching software and emails, oh and not paid! Lower pay than average but quite flexible. Approach with caution…
Pros
Flexible working, Wfh
Cons
Management turning on you, withholding pay

Official response from National Learning Group
20 December 2022Thank you for leaving your thoughts. As you know there is an active investigation into fraudulent activity, which is why your invoice has been held. As soon as you are able to explain the anomalies on your invoicing, we can get this settled, as per our emails to you. We would very much like the chance to discuss this with you as requested many times.
Rewarding and respected

Great company to work for with great support
Office Manager (Current Employee) - Prudhoe - 9 November 2021
I started working part time for The National Learning Group 7 months ago, working 3 hours per day. Since that time I have been promoted and have doubled my hours. The reason I was able to increase my hours is that my manager was able to offer a flexible and supportive working environment. For the first time in many years I love Mondays and look forward to going to work. The people at work aren't just colleagues, we are a family; we celebrate each others achievements and support each other through challenging times. I can honestly say that this is a wonderful company to work for and I can't imagine wanting to work anywhere else!
Pros
Nurturing and supportive environment.
