You can start in the morning anytime between 6.30am to 7am. Can be difficult getting from and to clients houses if there are no buses, especially on a Sunday. Each client has different needs but you become to know this has you will work with the same clients often. Sometimes you may not get home until 9/10pm.

You need to use your own car and the pay you get don't cove your fuel you put in your car as you use it all day going from house to house long hours pay rubbish

Nationwide cares services....... well where do I start.I was at NWCS for 2 years.. and it really took over my life. I was depressed for the whole 2 years. The job is really demanding(physically and mentally) straining. The clients are lovely. You do get the odd horrible ones but majority are lovely.. the management at NWCS(Nottingham branch) are very unprofessional.. when you first start, they say if you have any problems or can’t attend your shifts. They’ll compromise and find cover for you.. this is all lies.. they tell you to find your own cover..... even if you’re new. The office staff gossip. The office staff have their favourites(usually the ones who’ve been there for a long time).. I’ll never come back here..

I have been working with NWCS for over a year now and from the very beginning I felt very comfortable in this work place. I was working for a different Care company before and I felt very tense there and was not able to express my feelings or views, I was also not allowed any flexibility. At NWCS I feel like we are a big family and I have a very good co-ordinator who always listens to my concerns. I have recommended NWCS to my friends and family who have also joined the company and have been very happy. I also give this company a very good name and will always represent them in the best possible way

The manager his full off himself they team can b ungrateful no matter what hour u do and pick up drop shift will b glad to move on your only good if u do extra hour have favorite carers

Erdington branch is the best place to work in. Great company, amazing staff everyone is so friendly. Close-knit company. Definitely do recommend to work for this company!

Working for nationwide was a good experience i learnt a lot. Managment was good and understanding but co-ordinators needed to understand the job more especially when they dont come from a care experience. Moving up the ladder was a non starter due to going to family and friends. Bur over all sad to leave.

The job itself is degrading and absolutely horrendous. You work long hours, the office staff are rude. And the service users are two faced. Your on your feet all day going from one neighbourhood to the next

Service users are just that! Service users. Very poor quality of care by the management. Get to meet awesome amazing people daily and make a difference in their life the Independent apart from that you wouldn't like it appreciation no time for Life family the closest care about everybody

Management and Staff are very rude to new comers and make them feel like they’re invalids. Act like they don’t need you but ring you a million times to force you to do shifts. Also, make you feel like you got the job as a gesture of goodwill when in reality you have the experience and everything required to get a better job.Do not recommend.

£9 p.h client time ONLY, some rounds have 30/45mins gap, no time to go home so unpaid sat in car waiting! Management claim you are paid BUT your not, just read the document in the papers!

I really appreciate the training and overall everyone's support. Also everyone helps one another. I would definitely recommend this to others as it was really enjoyable and relatable to what I want to do in the future.it will be really good already my half of stress is going as looking for work was very challenging.

the trainer teaching the classes for HCA is great, i learnt a lot while being on the course in only afew days and it has really improved my knowledge, staff seem very nice and i really enjoyed my class, the only con is the location of the building and less parking outside

Workplace is nice and co workers are nice. Easier to get full time work if you are a driver. Hours are long and workload is demanding. But gets easier as you go and becomes routine.

i have been working for the company for 5 year. i enjoying working here wouldn't change it for anything else. i get regular hour all the time and get all the help i need and all staff are caring and understanding. manger is very helpful always communicating with everyone. good work and family life balance.i would recommend everyone to join the company.

I have been with the company for nearly a year now. I have enjoyed every second of it. There have been a lot of changes in the year I have been here but it is making a difference now. I recently had to change my hours due to changes at home and the office was supportive of the change. My first pay was paid by cheque but thereafter I have not had a problem. I would recommend working here as I have the same round each week and I get to see the same people everyday. If I need anything I will always ask and everybody- my colleagues and the office team will help me. I didn’t think I would ever do Care work but now I know I have made the right decision. I love helping people and very grateful to have this opportunity.

Lovely place to work! Really supportive and easy to talk to everyone. Office staff make you feel very welcome when coming in. In the bad weather the manager made sure we were all home before leaving herself to get home. The work is always available and the rota’s are always on time. Lovely clients too.

Since the current manager took over about 12 months ago, the company has improved a lot. Management are very supportive in regards to personal problems. Shift patterns are really good (4 days a week most weeks). If you need more hours, there are always some available. Recent changes within the office mean that training is one of the best I have had. Two weekly pay is a great benefit. Good quality care is the focus now for the branch and there is a positive feeling within the branch. All clients are assessed properly and if I ever need anything for a client, the office is always there to help. Progression within the branch is always encouraged, and QCF qualifications are offered. Overall a much better organised company to work for.
