Calm & Relaxed
The museum is a calm place to work, the people are polite, kind and friendly. I would recommend working here although the pay isn't the best. Good location, easy to get to.

Some people very nice to work with and for . Some not
Very low wages for a job which required a lot of hard work and above your grade . No sense of team work with some people . Quite clannish in some departments. I did however have a very good chief librarian as my boss . Not all of the people I worked with where unfriendly . Salary appealing though .

Great place to work
Great place to work with a very good work life balance.
You get to work on a variety of task and projects and every day is different.
Difficult to progress up and ranks and can take a very long time to meet the full list of requirements for advancement.
Friendly colleagues.

Excellent company to work for
I worked as an Information Assistant on a six month contract for the Museum and found it an excellent work environment, management supportive to staff, and with great career progression prospects for staff on permanent contracts.

Doing more with less
Conflicting demands on everyone's time, but the separate teams tend to experience the same problems and people are supportive within the teams. Declining morale.
