Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Orpington - 18 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAs a driver, a typical day includes going to the base to unload and load up your van (some days they may load you for multiple days so you can go straight from your home to your first job. You'll have on average 50-60 drops a day with 6 minutes to complete each drop. The travel time is taken into account but most things aren't. They don't take finding parking into account and depending on the area you're working in, this can be either difficult or really difficult. You could be working in Central London and may have to park 5 minute walk away for example, which adds 10 minutes to the drop, walking to and from your van. This kind of predicament may occur for maybe half your drops and eventually you just end up parking as close to the drop as possible and rack up hundreds of pounds in parking fines. The type of business you are delivering to isn't taken into account either. Many drops may be to big corporate buildings which takes several minutes just to be allowed access into the building or the area. Once you're in (if they allow you in... sometimes they don't), you'll have to sign in at reception 9/10 times and you'll be very lucky if the receptionist knows where to direct you. Often on these type of drops you could be waiting around for 20-30 minutes. These things aren't taken into account and neither is traffic. They expect you to be in and out within 6 minutes for every drop and the main objective is to get the drop completed, which is always on your mind and it's also how you receive your bonus. You will come across a lot of customers who aren't happy with the knives that -

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Orpington, Greater London - 16 November 2023
Amount of drops they have you do is a set up for failure, they will push the bonus incentive in which you must achieve 90% minimum weekly however, you'll have to do more than the required daily hours to achieve this. May get paid overtime but it's not amount is not worth it. Management isn't much help, seem to be very disorganised. Very poor route planning, you'll be in an area in the morning and see you'll have to return in the afternoon/evening. Initially hired to work the area I live in aswell as the surrounding areas but did everything else but this. When questioning this the response is, it's the nature of the job.
