Very strict and focused environment

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Rigid, strict and focused environment Rewarded at social events with exciting and creative ways Environment was like call centre, packed in like sardines far too many people in area. Very work and business focused. A lot of unhappy staff who stay as lack of confidence to move elsewhere.

Shady payment and tax practices

Be vigilant when working for this company when it comes to payment and tax, they're payment department is based in Nigeria (I received an international call from here to settle an incorrect tax code which had been applied to my first payment) Also payments made to me after my assignment ended which were apparently destined for HMRC for which I will now be liable to pay back!

Very dynamic, active and fun place to work. All colleagues are amazing, friendly and caring

NES Fircroft is modern, challenging and interesting company to work for. It is a multinational and global business, which provides opportunities to many people across the globe. I feel part of a fantastic team and see my purpose in supporting the business in achieving its goals. Management is professional, inspiring, fair and hard-working.

Productive and Friendly

I worked at NES for 9 months as a Personal Assistant to the MD. My desk was situated on the sales floor with the recruiters, all staff are very friendly and when i first started were more than happy to lend a hand. It is a fast pace job and requires good time keeping and exceptional organisation skills.

Be careful

This company has a sexist attitude to women - told to wear lower cut tops and would then go further. Although policies describe equality some of the directors do not adhere to this. Workplace culture is ‘ladish’ particularly among senior leaders. I would not recommend for women unless you are prepared to be treated as an object.

bad management

I would have to say the job itself was a good job and lots of progression available in this job but the down side was that certain managers in this place treat you different.

Productive Company

A great opportunity for me to grow professional and personal. I learned a lot. Corporate culture, help employees everyday to accomplish their tasks and to be complied under NES policy. I have learned to be responsible for others in order to workflow become easier everyday I learned to multitask i learned to meet deadlines to ensure you have reached every possibilities so the impossible will not be shown. issuing contracts was the mos enjoyable moment and subscribing new employees into our system.

Fast paced recruitment company

My day started with updating the consultants with where contracts were up to for their contractors. Prepared contracts for a vast amount of contractors and issued for approval then sent on to the contractor for signature. Requested compliance documents from contractors on certain projects. Prepared reports for management Chased contractors for medicals they had booked.

Pros

Great people to work with

Cons

Long hours

22 years at a fantastic company

Worked for the company for several years and varied positions throughout that time. Enjoyed the variety and worked mainly on own initiative as I have a good all round knowledge of procedures within the company. Daily duties varied depending on the job ahead, I produced reports for the Managing Directors throughout the UK, sent surveys to our contractors and monitored the responses and also created reports from the results. Organised events from scratch and saw them through to the final evening/day, this was my favourite and most enjoyable part of the job, I loved the variety and having the responsibility or organising the full event and seeing the final result. Very rewarding. There was nothing I disliked about the job which explains why I was there so long and the only reason I left the company was to emigrate to Brisbane. Although they do have an office in the City they have no openings which is why I am applying for jobs.

Pros

Great working environment, bonus scheme

Cons

None, flexible working hours around my daughter
