Network Rail Employee Review

Poor culture

The morale is terrible and it isn’t a very nice place to work anymore. Low pay for more work and also no real progression for ambitious people. Such a shame because I used to enjoy working here and now it’s time for change

Stressful

Not a nice place to work at the moment. Lots of upheaval coming. No pay rise for 3 years. Good Hours to work and no weekend work. Some nice people but it can be who you know, not what you know.

Must be a self starter

Lots of opportunities and passionate staff. I had nothing but support in my time there. Management style varies so do your research and ask questions at interview. Some managers are very onboard with agile/flexible working and this usually goes hand in hand with trusting you to get on with your job and listening to and embracing new ideas. Other managers are still stuck in the dark ages; goes hand in hand with the micro managing style.
