It wasn’t too bad but you are expected to work when ever they want there is no real cut off time though your contracted to 38 hours you work 50. Get told you will get paid your taco breaks you don’t. If you can’t work the weekend because you ha e plans they don’t like it and try to tell you you have to.
Pros
It was fairly close to home
Cons
All of the above plus more
Some gaffers betters than others but alot ov faults with wages on a weekly basis some sites are better than others as allways is and a chance for movement from construction to infistructure
Cons
Under payed
Pretty much like any other firm. Work hard and you'll be rewarded. Deadwood is not carried. Very good payers and good management. Always plenty of work across the North East
Pros
Good Money
Cons
Sometimes a toxic atmosphere
Negative business culture that constantly thinks about pounds and pence and nothing else. No staff value other than the mentality of 'if you don't like it there's the door sunshine'
It's a shame, if this business had the right management it would have greater staff retention and be more successfull with thier client base as it would have the correct management
Pros
Christmas Party
Cons
Management
Net work was a good place to work plenty of vertices but no time to do anything else The work was very fast paced and worked in the rain a lot weekend work always available
Pros
Lot of overtime
Cons
Always at work
Typical management role, dealing with customers, employees, whilst maintaining a solid health and safety culture. Ensuring we met our customers deadlines and expectations of what they required from us. Dealing with stock, delivery, product process, material returns.
Good time working at this company very professional i learnt a lot working here a mix of work from ship yards to building sites etc from being on the spanners with the lads to supervising squads of men the management are very helpful
Really good place to work. The pay is good and the staff are all hard working. Always have work on, it’s a 0 hours contract but never been let down with work.
Pros
Sociable working hours and good pay.
Cons
Zero hour contract.
A bunch of egotistical Muppets who think just because they carry scaffolding poles they're all really really tough They're all bodybuilders or boxers or whatever it is that they perceive to be tough, like I said, total morons
This company is a complete farce stay well clear pay is terrible jobs are a joke only start if ye can’t get a job as a paper boy . Scaffolding 20 years all over and had a taste of this outfit this year and money and hours weren’t as promised total shambles
Pros
Got sacked
Cons
The whole company

The workers were very lively but the bosses didn’t like that so we all had to be very stubborn and dull which made the working environment very unfriendly and awkward.
Pros
Had a microwave
Cons
Long hours, Far journey there and back, no hot water, radiators didn’t work, too cold in the winter
