Worst place I have ever worked
I worked for newcastlw Council for just under 1 year. My managers were very 8 supportive although I got excellent feedback from other staff and members of the community for my work as I went above and beyond. I am disabled and could not carry out an element of my job due to this disability which was declared at the interview and also onmy application form because of this towards the end of my probation period I was told I had failed my probation when my union produced evidence I had done all other aspects of the job brilliantly I was told my probation would be extended for 1 month to which they still failed my probation and alternately I was let go from the company. My union asked them to relocate me to another position or just take the aspect of the job I could not do away from my duties this was refused by management although occupational health had also reccomended this and stayed I was capable of the other aspects of the job.I was given a referral to access to work where I was told I needed special equipment to do my job to its fullest. I received this equipment which just sat in a box was never set up and was there until the day I was let go.If you want any support from managers I reccomend you look at a different company as this offers no support whatsoever. Also the wage was disgraceful.

Easy job but management destroy any kind of morale
Management at Newcastle city council especially in parking services department are totall inept and are void of any compassion. They have great workers who are being let down on a huge scale

It’s like a family run business, run by bullies, management structure is so poor. Mostly nepotism applies . It was once a good place to work but for the past 10 years it’s been run by bullies.
